Hmmmmm.......2007-12-31

This unit was great for about a month. After that, the sound quality went bad and now no one can understand anything I say on it. Had the Scala500 for years and was great until the battery died. No, I am back on the market again for a better unit.

Not So Good!.......2007-12-15

I purchased this as a friend has one and I read the positive reviews and thought this was going to be a good bluetooth device. Well, it's not working the way it's intended. This is the first bluetooth device I have tried to own.

I originally bought this from Amazon and after charging it up completely I could only get less than 24 hours on it in standby. I contacted Cardo and they told me that it could be the coupling to the phone and asked which phone I have. After another email to them they said it sounds like a defective headset and I can send it back, which I did. I received a replacement one very quickly and it has the same problem AND people tell me it has too much static for them to talk comfortably to me with it. I could live with the battery life as I only use it in the car while driving but can't live with the static so it is useless IMO.

I will say that Cardo was extremely customer oriented and Amazon's customer service was great as well but this device doesn't live up to what I was hoping for. I would not recommend it.

The Scala 500 is better than the 700LX.......2007-12-14

I had the Cardo 500 and gave it to my girlfriend and decided to upgrade to the Cardo 700LX. I loved the 500: the battery would last forever, the connection time was instant, and the sound quality was great. Before I purchased the 700, I called Scala and they said go with the 700LX for added advantage. I like the 700LX for several reasons, the headset is very light and charges very quickly, it has awesome features and the sound is very clear. The one draw back with the 700LX is the connection time. It takes longer for the headset to answer phone calls. I hear the person answering in the speaker of my Motorola Q and then 10-15 second later I hear the person in the 700LX! Other than it is a very good unit.

Great headset for people with 2 cellphones!!.......2007-10-17

I use this headset with my nextel motrola and my Tmobile samsung. It`s great. I switch from one phone to another depending on my need. I can turn off the blinking blue light in the dark if i don`t want to be noticed. This headset has so many features. The only problem is the connection. when the phone is on my belt and i`m walking around, the signal goes weak and i have to bring the phone closer to the headset to make the connection better. But sitting in my car, i don`t have this problem. Other than that, everything is just great!!

Don't buy it! Plain and simple

I had a motorola Bluetooth for a couple of years. It worked well but finally died. Found the Cardo 700LX and thought it would be superior.

Well, maybe I have a bad Unit but here is what I experienced. The talk time and standby time are really low. I can't get through a whole workday with it. Usually around 2:30 pm in afternoon it dies regardless of the amount of time actually talking.

It echos really bad. When it first powers up it is too loud and therefore echos to the party on the other end. You have to adjust it down every day, it does not hold its setting.

It is slow to activate. When a call comes in I press the answer button and it seems like an eternity before it answers. I believe it takes at least 10 to 15 seconds to connect each call.

The unit works otherwise. Unfortunately, it is not suitable in my book. Today I just went out and bought a new unit. (Had this one only 3 or 4 weeks.)It is on charge now I hope it works better.

Am I spoiled from the way the motorola worked? I don't think so. I rate this unit barely a one star. Why waste the money.
