I have AT&T wireless service and live in a three story house, where the signal is very weak and I could talk just okay from the top floor. Very important to follow the directions, and this device will boost your signal. Ours worked best on the main (mid) level where I placed the transmitter unit. Upper floor is good, bottom floor is clearly much better but I would not call it good. Getting about 2 bars except for the main level and near the transmitter which provides a very strong signal of 3 or more bars. Stand near the transmitter and it is usually 4 or 5 bars. I am keeping the device - as it does what I need for it to do. Now I can communicate through most of the house.

We live in a fringe area serviced by Alltel, and until this booster was installed we had zero bars in the house. Before purchsing the booster I checked to see how many bars we had on the roof, there were four and as stated the booster can bring inside the best signal you have outside. Installing the small antenna on top of our existing TV antenna was very easy. We can now use the minutes we already pay for from inside our home. Five stars.
Works Great for us.......2007-11-30
We had poor but do-able cell phone reception at our home and then we installed a metal roof and any reception we had dissappeard. We installed this product and now we have full reception in most of the rooms in our 2200 sf home. We are very pleased with this repeater. We have AT&T service and are using a razr and a black jack. The antenna is mounted outside in our bushes on a pvc pipe to keep it away from the metal roof.
