AMAZING - I went from 0-1 bars in my office to 5 full bars!

My office is 2 rooms/walls deep on the first floor of a 2.5 story building. Every time a call would come in, I'd ALWAYS have to run out of the building to talk on my cell phone. This assumes I even received the call (and it didn't go into voice mail). Upon receiving this device, we installed the antenna as high as possible... almost at the roof's highest point. The base unit is in my office... giving me an excellent boost. Offices near my office (on the other side of standard walls) are getting 3 or 4 bars at least. However, offices more than 2 walls away are only getting 1 - 2 bars. So, as prior reviewers have mentioned, the zboost signal drops off with distance and when walls are blocking the signal. Since our overall office area is small, my guess is that the signal drops off quickly. So, in an office of roughly 12 employees, about half of us are getting an excellent signal now. The other 6 employees have windows to the outside world... so we weren't so concerned with increasing their signal.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied and was shocked that I jumped to 5 full bars. Honestly, I am getting a better signal in my office than if I were standing outside my building in the street. (I was often getting 3 - 4 in the street outside of my building).

Call quality is excellent. I cannot tell that I'm using a booster or anything else. It's just like a normal cell signal.

By the way... I've tested our system with other cell phone carriers and everyone is getting better service. I use AT & T (iPhone) and others employees are using Verizon and T-Mobile.

We live in a suburban, 2-story home. Any time a cell phone rang while we were downstairs, we had to run upstairs so that the call would not be lost when we answered it.

When we received this cell phone signal booster, my son attached the receiver to the outside of the house near the roof where the signal is strongest. We then ran the cable down the wall into the inside of the first floor family room where we placed the booster.

What a difference! In the same spot where only minutes before we had 0-1 bars on our cell phones, we suddenly had 4-5 bars. We installed it over a month ago and have had strong, continuous signals downstairs ever since.

I'm a believer!

I work on a Millitary base in a concrete building with a steel substructure. I was getting 0-1 bar on my cell phone. After installing this product and mounting the antenna between the metal substructure and the outside concrete structure I am not getting 5 bars!!

NOT worth a penny!!!!.......2007-11-22

Bought this about a year ago, since our office has no window directly to the street so the signal is weak for everybody, that include people with Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and so on. Checked with zBoost and they said it's fine to all of the different company phones. Read a nice review in NY Times and decided to go for it.

I tried every single way possible in the instructions, called the support, sent it back twice, but NOTHING WORKS. They just said our signal is too weak to boost. But if I can get signal leaning over the windows, won't this thing be able to increase it? Isn't that what we need this thing for??? If you can't increase or boost a weak signal then this thing is a total piece of garbage!!!

I wasted $400 for a plastic stick and a bunch of useless wires. DON'T BUY THIS FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!!

Works, but not well.......2007-11-07

Recently we decided to do away with our telephone landline and go completely wireless. We had some trouble getting a cellular signal at certain places in the house and this product seemed like it would be a good way to bring better signal to those areas. Unfortunately we quickly found, that though this product does in fact do a fine job of repeating a stronger signal to a weak area, the range of the "Hot Spot" is not even close to what it advertises.

We found that even with the antenna pulling in 4 solid bars from outside, unless you were practically sitting on top of the wireless extender you just wouldn't get any improvement. What's more is it seems that there are certain "Blind spots" around the device that don't get any improvement. To give it a fair shot, we experimented with several different transmitter locations and found that the best we could achieve is about a 10x10 sq foot zone with the transmitter in the middle. And of course this location was about the most intrusive (smack in the middle of the kitchen counter). If you put it near a wall or a corner you lose about half of the possible output. We found no reasonably acceptable solution with this product.

I have a fairly small split level ranch home (1200 sq feet), and had hoped that I could reliably cover at least the upper level, but in reality, I was only able to get an extended signal in about half of my small 10x18 kitchen. This is not even close to the 10,000 square feet of coverage advertised in the product description

If this product were MUCH cheaper I could accept the performance for what it is, but at $300 plus it is not worth the minor improvement it offers to a limited area. We basically felt as if the limitation in range was tying us to an old corded phone, which is hardly a step forward in wireless technology. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $79 for this product. I returned mine for a refund.
