The sound quality is fantastic. It vibrates, giving your sound to another of your senses. And, it lights up, kinda worthless feature, but it is totally cool anyway. I STRONGLY recommend this item.
Surround sound is good, noise cancellation not-so-good.......2007-12-08
I use these for gaming, and found that the surround sound, and the accuracy of sound-location mapping to actual location in game was excellent.
Do not expect too much from Mp3s or noise cancellation to work well though. Found it a little jarring, and the lights are just really childish.

I was looking for some good headphones since I play a lot of online games and don't want sound to be the reason for me getting rolled by other players. I came across the Edimensional Audiofx and saw that it had pretty good reviews, was at a good price and looked great. I also saw that it had vibration so that was a plus. At first I thought the vibration was going to be a gimmick, boy I was wrong. The best aspect of these headphones are hands downs the feel of the vibration. The games sound great! The grenades, gun effects and even navigating through the menu sound flawlessly. I can pinpoint other players positions as well and the vibration never gets in the way or disappoints. These are great headphones.
Pros:
-Comfortable (Used it for hours without any discomfort.)
-Vibration feels great and makes the games more realistic
-It has neat led lights at the sides that work with the vibration
-Really long and thick cable
-You can disable Vibration (Don't know why though, its great!) and lower the force of it as well as the volume.
-Mic sounds great
-Vibration doesnt use batteries (USB Powered)
-Great price
Cons:
-The cables came loose and tangled
-Would of liked for battery support as well (For my iPod). Sounds great on my iPod but no vibration :(
Mic bad and headphones uncomfortable.......2007-11-25
Mic pick up is horrible, the worse I have found to date. It doesn't reach the mouth area and the pick up just doesn't work with its positioning.
Also, The headphones sit on the ears poorly, and cause aches after 2+ hours. The are balanced to put the weight of the headphones on your ears.
Overall, not worth the money unless you have a small (smaller than hat size 6 5/8) head. And for the price, Plantronics are MUCH superior headsets. Go buy a pair of those.
not what i expected.......2007-07-05
I expected more for the money I paid.
1. Vibrations switch works almost too well. You can hear background noise when you turn Vibrations on at even 50%. It drowns out the game noise that you WANT to hear.
** I have noticed that turning on Vibrations is not so good in game, but while relaxing and listening to music. Has a VERY good bass response!
2. THE MIC is poorly made. It is flimsy and if you adjust it just enough times, you can feel where the mic is going to come out of the headset. Mine recently started getting flimsy-like and I've only had it for two weeks. There is also not a switch for mic on/off, so you must use push to talk on programs such ast TS/Vent/RW, etc.
** I am a small, young person and this mic is TOO SHORT for me. So if you're a grown adult purchasing this for its mic capabilities, I Would NOT recommend this! I use TeamSpeak, Ventrilo, Roger Wilco, etc. and everyone tells me they can barely hear me! AND YES I did turn up my mic booster, mic is full blast, etc.
3. Lights- Only a cool effect. They light up depending on how loud the sound is you are hearing. No problems so far. lights ONLY light up if you turn Vibrations ON; it would really serve a purpose if it would work without having vibrations on.
4. Cord- Perfect length is your tower is right next to your desk. The cord also doesn't have a clip so you can clip the cord to your shirt for easy access to the volume controls/vibrations controls.
5. VERY comfortable after breaking it in of course. Just stretch it a little for a couple minutes and its good to go. If not, you will be in pain! The actual headset is a little bulky and fat, but still light weight. Good for long hours of play meaning 5+ hours.
** Helpful numbers for adjusting each side.
6. Sound is pretty good quality, just with the volume would go a bit higher than my cheap $15 Wal-Mart headset

When I read the reviews for this item before making my purchase, I took note of some who felt that the "quality" feel of this headset was not up to par. Well, short of buying a David Clark professional airline headset this is by far the best flight simulator headset I have ever used, with great quality feel to it and outstanding spoken and heard sound. At the price point that this is meant to compete, this is hands down the most awesome sound experience you will find, especially the effects. I can see it being used really nicely in other games where situational awareness is important. A great buy in my opinion.
Incredible Headset.......2007-10-19
This headset is by far the best headset imaginable in the under $100 category (and maybe more). First, the sound is crystal clear. Great positional sound so you can even hear enemies behind a wall before you see them. The mic is probably the best I've ever heard. It's extremely clear with no distortion. My squad says they hear me perfectly. The design is really nice, comfortable and works great for long sessions. You may just need to take a minute break every few hours because they cover your whole ear, so it can get a little warm. Cord is nice and long, force feedback is awesome. Definitely get a lot of compliments at LANs. Get these, you will be so glad you did.
disappointed.......2007-10-18
I bought these because I wanted to try out positional sound in a headset. I should have went with a more expensive set, as these have turned me off for a while. I was excited to try these babies out when they arrived. Nothing but problems.
First, I have a size 7 head (according to most fitted ballcap) and these felt very tight. I was willing to give them a shot though, maybe they just need to get broke in.
Second, I run Vista OS. (You may better luck with xp) I could not get these to run 3d sound in any app. After working with edimensional tech support, they said that they are working on a driver update. I could either wait for the update or return the product.
Third, I was impressed with the force feedback. It really enhances the listening experience. Although if you turn it off, there is hardley no bass. It appears they rely on the force feedback, which is deffinately not an issue.
Forth, The microphone picks up a lot of ambient noise (such as a tv in the background, or other people talking.
Finally, I wouldn't recommend this product to many people. The force feedback is awesome, but everything else sucks. The edimensional tech support is friendly and helpful.
