In no place does it state that you can directly load data from a flash card to the iPod. It is a card reader through USB2.0 and a docking station for your iPod. It works great. The only reason it isn't listed higher is because the driver doesn't appear to be optimal (there is a glitch with iTunes, although it occurs rarely).
