Great case for toting an external hard drive and AC adapter. Room for cables and etc. in the zipped area at the top of the case. A moveable divider also is a nice touch.

Too big and bulky for small drives.......2007-09-16
I returned this item. I bought because it was a suggested companion item for the LaCie 160 GB Rugged Hard Drive USB 2.0/FireWire400/FireWire800, which I purchased for traveling. The case was far to big and bulky for the small hard drive for purposes of traveling. Because the hard drive was ruggedized, there is really no need for the case other than to store cables.
Nifty and practical.......2007-09-07
I bought this case along with an Iomega 500GB USB external hard drive, and found that this case fits the drive, power cable, stand clip, and USB cable just right. The little divider inside the case is adjustable since one end is velcro, so there is some flexibility there, and the netted zipper compartment in the "lid" is a nice touch that makes it possible to fit the USB cable in the case.
I rated the case 4 stars instead of 5 because if you are looking for a case that has a lot of padding, this isn't it. However, I think this is exactly what I am looking for...a case that is compact enough to fit into a bookbag or briefcase and offers enough protection for me to feel comfortable leaving my data inside it. I don't intend to take my Iomega hiking with me, so I think the modest padding will suffice.
Plus, it looks good and has a nice handle.
Zipper failed after 2 tries.......2007-08-26
Two pieces of advice:
1) For WD Passport hard drives this case is too big.
2) This is a low quality case. Zipper failed just after two tries.
