The drive came with all the stuff needed except the 3 1/2" to 5 1/4" drive bay brackets. The disc clone software worked great, the partition software "MaxBlast" worked equally well and the cables came in both adapter type (for mating up with legacy power supplies) and newer SATA configured power supplies. The thing is FAST. I have used this drive for about 6 months and was looking to buy another one when I saw this review page.
Do not be afraid.... this one works.

Very good disk at a very good price. I installed it as a single SATA drive (no RAID setup). Vista rated its performance 5.9 wich is the same as my other system (3 x Seagate BARRACUDA ES-7200.1 320GB Hard Drive, RAID 5 setup) which is strange. My RAID 5 setup theoritically should be faster and so this Maxtor (single disk) should be rated less than my RAID 5 setup. I don't why but I don't trust Vista hardware rating. For example a RADEON 2600XT 512MB in single card or Crossfire setup, Vista rated the gaming performance the same (5.4) for both setup.
The maxtor HDD is a very good buy comparing to Barracuda however My Barracuda RAID 5 setup (3 disks)is more quiet than the maxtor (Single disk). With Maxtor I can hear the disk clicking.

Extension tubes are designed to enable a lens to focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance. Getting closer has the effect of magnifying your subject (making it appear larger in the viewfinder and in your pictures). They are exceptionally useful for macro photography, enabling you to convert almost any lens into a macro lens at a fraction of the cost while maintaining its original optical quality. The extension tubes have no optics. They are mounted in between the camera body and lens to create more distance between the lens and film plane. By moving the lens father away from the film or CCD sensor in the camera, the lens is forced to focus much closer than normal.
