RIght Headset for the Cost. .......2007-12-18
WIll save your marriage. All wireless products have slight interferences (iPhone near a speaker, anybody?) so the trick is to find a cost effective model that has the smallest amount of interference. Sennheiser has been creating audio gear long enough to know that this balance is necessary and they need to put their name on a product that meets above average standards. This set does just that. I really don't notice much interference at all. I like the positions of the controls and the function of them (they work! Yay!) The charging unit/transmitter is a smart setup. The charge lasts a long time, and how great is it that it's the holder for the headphones. Soon, there will be lighter weight, head specific models, but after all the reviews and research I did with this pair, I'm very satisfied. I use them quite a bit, so this is based on field testing. Very good headphones. Good quality. Plenty of volume. Easy to use. I use them when I'm cutting the grass and they are generally good except in a couple of places where you get some cutting out when out of range.

Based on the reviews for this, I expected the sound to be flawless. I was a bit disappointed with the interference I got when moving around. All in all they are better than others that I have tried, however for the money and based on the other reviews I expected more from these.
Pros: recharable batteries. Can change frequencies to try for better reception. Very comfortable. Not heavy.
Cons: They still have residual hiss, although faint as it may be, it is still there.
Also, it is important to note that I use these for practicing my guitar so the residual hiss does not really bother me, however if I had purchased these for TV or music ONLY, I would have returned them.

Excellent Product (Once Properly Setup).......2006-08-31
This is the best headset I have ever owned. It has superior quality sound and blocks almost 100% of external noise, an invaluable feature for folks who live in apartments or otherwise noisy neighborhoods as I do. It also allows you to change the balance of Right and Left and use a Compression feature should you be suffering from some hearing loss. Further, the Amazon price, especially on the refurbished unit, simply can not be beat. However, I have to confess that I almost returned the headset at first for a very foolish reason. It kept shutting off on me so I thought it had to do with interference from aircraft that regularly fly near my location, or my crazy neighbor's wireless equipment, etc. The refurbished products do not come with a manual so I contacted Sennheiser by e-mail and received a prompt response, a user manual, and a phone number to call with any additional questions. It ultimately turned out that I had simply failed to properly charge the complimentary NiMh batteries! :-) I felt like a colossal fool! :-) I also discovered that if you connect it to the audio connectors on the back of your TV or, even better, a receiver if you have one, you get much better results; the output of "Headphone" jacks is not anywhere as good and most are monaural anyway.
I have my headset connected to my Home Theater Receiver now and it works like a charm. Anyway, I am glad I did not return it. It is an excellent product from a company that seems to provide outstanding service. If you buy this, and I would most definitely recommend that you do, just e-mail them and get a user guide .
