I bought the Memorex 8GB Traveldrive and absolutly love it! It is very easy to use and works well between my two computers (XP and 2000) without any trouble. The security software is very user-friendly. It's like having an extra 8GB of space for any computer! Just plug it in and go! The transfer speed is also very fast! (Less than 25 seconds for a 700MB file!) If you want speed, portibility and ease of use, this is an excellent choice!
doesn't work-no Memorex support-total garbage.......2007-12-15
Purchased on 11/3/07. I was able to write data to this drive 1 time. The second time, it said it was write protected. I tried it on 2 different computers with 2 different operating systems. It will no longer allow anything to be written to it. I called Memorex support and 2 different people at Memorex said it was defective and to email them the details of my purchase from Amazon Marketplace and that they'd replace it so I emailed them. There has been no response to my email and I haven't received a new drive. It is now 12/15/07. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau.

While the software on this device isn't pretty to look at, it does do it's job. It's plug and play, and relatively fast. It folds easily and seems durable (I've only had it for a week).
The 8GM is handy and helps transfer loads of documents, which for some people might help save a fortune on purchasing an extra laptop. Not to mention it's easier to transport.
The keychain option is a nice touch since it can be secured to the inside of a briefcase or, of course, your keys. If you sometimes need to bring your work home with you then you'll like this a whole lot.
