The quality of sound and durability of these headphones are very good as most Sony products. The one draw back I find is in the comfort....after about 3 - 4 hrs. my ear get sore.
Average Over-Ear Headphones.......2007-09-30
These Sony 'Sport' Over-Ear Headphones are your average headphones. I use them primarily for my 5th Gen iPod when I work out and go on a run. I purchased these as a cheap replacement because I had lost my original iPod earbuds. First, they do not sound spectacular, in fact, they sound a little muffled when compared to the stock iPod earbuds. They do not come with any foamy cushions and its just a hard plastic earbud connected to an over-the-ear 'hook'. I have a medium sized ear and ear canal and the sony earpiece fit just right into the entrance of my ear canal, but the over-the-ear hook piece was too big for my ear. The portion that was supposed to hook over my ear wasn't very secure. When jumping around during a workout they would come lose. Unfortunately, that piece of the headphone is hardplastic and I could not flex it into a more secure fit.
They're cheap and they get the job done.
Too small for large ears.......2007-08-04
I have large ears, so maybe I should have expected headphones designed like this to probably not fit. So bottom line... if you have large ears, don't get these.
Uncomfortable and obtrusive.......2007-07-23
I've tried more headphones than I care to admit, and these are definitely near the bottom of the list.
The plastic ear clips are hard and too large. I have big ears and they fit ok, but anyone else it out of luck.
These are not perfect, but they are much better: Sony MDR-J10 h.ear Headphones with Non-Slip Design (Black) (also available in several other colors)
Comfortable Headphones.......2007-07-17
Purchased these for my 16 year old son. These are his fav's. Would have given them a 5 star, but have to keep extras as one ear piece always seems to go bad after extended use. It is not surprising though, as he uses them and carries them with him EVERYDAY! Great Value from Amazon.
