These headphones sound very clear and open. You hear detail in every recording that you never noticed before. They are also surprisingly comfortable given their size. Excellent headphones.
Huge dissapointment.......2007-11-04
I already had three Koss headphones: PortaPro, KTXPro1, and KSC75. Love/loved them. I have kept the PortaPros, because of how well they seat on my ears, and the geeky look factor :). (I have given away the others as presents, and got great comments.)
Given the great reviews here, decided to give these Pros a try. Huge disappointment. I am using a decent receiver/amplifier so the other hardware should not be an issue.
I see some reviewers are recommending a separate "headphone amplifier". Why would I waste my money to compensate for the failings of these cans?... If only poor sound were the only issue...
Here are my impressions:
- No bass. Pushing the bass up on my receiver helps some, but I usually like to keep the EQ flat and listen to the music how it was recorded. My speakers, other Koss headphones, some other Denon headphones I had sounded all fine with a flat EQ.
- Weak sound (low sensitivity). I have to turn the volume higher than on all the other headphones I have used.
- Vibration/harmonics from the case. Keeping your hands on the cans helps stabilize this...
- Crappy, cheap ear pads. They stick to your head and make your skin sweat. Yuck!
- Heavy. Well, the discomfort from the sweating is actually greater than the one from the weight.
In conclusion: save your money, and try before you buy.

I ordered the Pro4AAT phones about a year ago and thak God for lifetime warranty..They sound good,They are heavy,They are uncomfortable after being worn awhile,Not durable like the Pro4AA..I have had to send mine back twice..The first time for a short in the cable.The second time they fell and the ear piece broke off..The second pair I sent in they sent me a pair of Pro4AA's instead..It might have been a mistake,but I am a lot happier..I used to have a pair of these for years and love them..I can't recommend the Pro4AAT's for anyone who uses them professionally..They don't take abuse very well..

These headphones offer great sound quality, and the ear coverings are good at blocking out noise. They replaced an old, beat-up pair of Koss TD60's. I was surprised by the large size and especially the weight of these headphones. I was expecting them to be very similar to the TD60's, but they are very rugged and made of higher-quality materials, so I am getting used to the weight. I am sure it's all spelled out in the specs, but I hadn't seen these higher quality models in the stores. Had I compared the specs of the models, I might have noticed.

No reason to spend excessive amounts of money on a firewire cable. This one works quite well. Sturdily constructed, and I haven't had any problems with it. Relatively decent price too, and the length is fine.

I don't know why other brands of Firewire are so much more expensive, it seems they're all alike. I have never had a problem yet. Used it with my digital camera and it's been great so far. The 6 FT length of the cable is perfect, not to long not too short.
