MEGA Travel Trouble.......2007-05-30
I purchased two 4Gb MEGATravel Drives and one of them didn't work right out of the box. Memorex replaced it with a 6Gb drive and I was happy. But, I used the 4Gb drive heavily and after less than a year it just quit working. The computer sees it but it won't start and so my data is totally lost. I've corresponded back and forth with Memorex tech services for the last two or three weeks and they were of no help. I even offered to buy a new drive and canabalize it to put the disk from the old one into, but Memorex tells me that won't work and "would void the warranty". Go Figure!
Quite frankly, if you own one, offload all your files quickly and then trash the drive. Get four 1Gb flash drives with no moving parts and go on with your life, that is what I've done and they are cheaper by a long shot as well.
Cheap storage but it's HDD based........2007-04-03
I bought this on-sale at Fry's Electronics. It heats up since it has a small HDD inside. Looks like Memorex missed the technology boat with this one. Their second generation USBs are now flash. Flash drive prices will fall soon, so if you wait, you can probably get a Flash 4GB drive for about the same price. Flash is much quicker and cooler. As far as durability, I don't use this Memorex drive often, but I see other reviewers saying that theirs died. Anyhow, I burn important data and projects onto optical discs (CD-R and DVDR) which is much more reliable and cheaper than USB drives, and I use a Compact Disc Eraser on them when no longer needed/outdated.
Worse than worthless........2007-03-23
I bought two. Approximately three months later they both died, within a week of each other. Can't trust your data with this. Kudos to the engineers.

Had one for a month, just quit working one day. I have many other thumb drives that have been going strong for years. I wont purchase another of these.
Be wary of this company.......2006-10-07
I purchased a second 1GB Travel drive to mate up with one that had been working fine. The second drive is a different version (although they look identical) which does not work with my computer. There is no question that my computer is older technology having had a WIN 98 O/S which I upgraded to WIN ME. After talking with tech support and trying all the recommended solutions, tech support recommended I get a replacement or refund under their warranty program. Bottom line, they passed the buck: not their problem - "...go contact your computer manufacturer". So I'll be selling my Memorex drives on EBAY and recommend you think twice before purchasing this product. Also, it took a month to get a reply in the first place!

Magnificent film for well lit non moving subjects........2007-12-29
This film was made by Dire Trolls inside a remote Hokkaido volcano. It is made with walrus lips, alpaca goiters, and semi-retired vanity. If you have a fortyseven thousand dollar holga or a twenty dollar Blaad, this well be just fine for all medium format adventures. Oh yeah,this is that great new film that doesnt need any developing. After you shoot all your pics, just unroll it and hold it up to the sun!
