I got these clearance somewhere. I'm using them on an ipod nano. I've used 4 or 5 different headphones and these are the loudest without having to go to an external booster. Haven't worn them for time or during a workout, but they seem to be a good fit in my ears.
Inferior audio quality compared to Apple Ipod earphones.......2007-12-16
I tested these against Ipod classic earphones and found these PHILIPS earphones to be muddy in comparison. They advertise some kind of reflected speaker design but the Apple Ipod classic earphones were much clearer, crisper in the high frequencies and distinct base in the low frequencies.
I also found it much harder to keep the PHILIPS earphones in my ears compared to the Apple Ipod classic earphones. Overall these PHILIPS earphones are not a good substitute for Apple Ipod earphones.

These are the first pair of ear bud headphones that I purchased that are actually comfortable to wear. They have rubber attachments on the part that goes in your ears which makes them fit very well - no short or long term discomfort. Be careful not to lose the rubber ends though as they are not available for purchase separately. Sound is decent. Best in ear headphones for the price.

The best you'll find in this price range..........2007-12-22
I needed a replacement for my iPod earbuds after blowing them out (the second pair, by the way), and I didn't want to spend a lot of money right now. I bought these, and I'm more than slightly impressed. Decent bass, decent clarity, better than I expected for the $15 I paid. However, one caveat: The only reason this is not a five-star review is that they're not very good for physical activity. I use them primarily for work, where I sit at a desk all day, and they're fine. But I tried to wear them on a treadmill at the gym today and had a hard time keeping them in. Depending on where you intend to use them, you may want to factor that into your decision.

I purchased these because a coworker suggested them. I really like them, I have tiny ears apparently and most other ear buds fall out. The sound is great, way better than the ones that came with my iPod.
I also like the asymmetrical design of the cord, it took me a bit to figure out why one side was longer than the other, but now that I am used to it I don't think I will ever go back. The little rubber ends didn't fall off for me and the package contained 2 extra ones.
Mine just died today after being worn every single workday. They were thrown around my desk and run over by my desk chair.
I'm going to go pick up another set tonight.

Buy something else seriously. The earbuds that came with your iPod sound better than these by miles. The soundstage on this Philips is so narrow it's like you're instead listening to someone else next to you with their earphones on a high volume setting. Bass sounds like a "pat, pat, pat" while the mids and highs are either screeching your inner ear or are barely audible.

they pretty much suck. the plastic ear bud covers fell off and i lost them almost immediately. I'll admit the sound was great but who cares if it doesn't fit in your ear? I gave a star to looks and sound quality.

These are the best. Put up with the dinky earbuds that came with my MP3 player.
They were not only uncomfortable but they hurt my ears and kept falling out and the wires were ALWAYS tangled.

Despite what you may have heard, all HDMI cables are not created equal. A $1 HDMI cable is not the same as a $25 cable or a $100 cable. But this doesn't mean that a $100 cable is better, or that you need expensive (or even high quality) HDMI cables for all purposes. Construction quality, cable design, cable thickness (gauge) and connector quality can all play a role in the success you'll have with an HDMI cable. And the longer your cable requirement (and the higher your bandwidth needs), the more important the cable construction.
Yes, HDMI is a digital signal but this does NOT mean that you either "have a signal or you don't." Cheaply constructed HDMI cables can have not only mechanical failures (worn out solder joints over time, ill-fitting connectors), but electrical failures as well, and these can be represented either by visible distortion ("sparklies," lines, dropouts or pixilation), or by incompatibilities with certain high bandwidth HDMI sources and displays.
This is not to say that you need to pay $50, $100 or more on well-known brand HDMI cables in order to get good results, but when you buy "no name" cables (particularly from unknown marketplace sellers), you're taking a risk - you might get something decent, or you might not. And is it really worth it, to save a couple of dollars on the cable, when it may cost you hours of debugging to determine exactly what's wrong with your picture or sound in your high end home theater system?
As the editor of a home theater publication (Big Picture Big Sound), I've had the opportunity to own, evaluate and use many high-end high definition components and displays as well as a variety of HDMI and component video cables. I've used high-end name brand cables as well as no-name plain plastic-wrapped HDMI cables made in China. Some of the cables I've ordered via Amazon marketplace sellers don't even match the picture of the item.
But the "Cables To Go" HDMI cables I've bought from Amazon have been consistently high quality, with strong mechanical connections and excellent reliability. This specific cable (5 meter "Velocity" model), is currently happily in use between an HD cable box and a Sanyo HD projector in one of our writers' home theater systems. It hasn't caused us one lick of trouble.
Cables to Go (aka "Impact Acoustics") is an American company, based in Ohio, specializing in all types of cables, connectors and switching components. They may not be a household name, but they're a solid brand with a proven track record of quality and reliability.
Many of the "cheaper" cables offered by marketplace sellers come with hidden costs that you won't see until check-out, namely high shipping and handling fees. But Cables To Go cables bought from Amazon.com can be shipped free (orders over $25), which brings their price down to an extremely reasonable level.
Don't be taken in by the claims of high-priced cable manufacturers, but neither should you believe that a $1 or $2 no-name cable is going to be the equivalent of a cable from a reputable brand. The truth lies somewhere in between.

I have a sony dvd with 1080i uplink which came with a 5 ft. cable. This cable works as well as the supplied cable and it is 3x the length.

Great price for such a long cable. Used it with my HDMI Slot on my panasonic HD plamsa. Extemelly happy with quality it delivers from my DVD SRS system to my HDTV. Would recommend this product to anyone who has the ability to upgrade to HDMI.
HDMI Cables why so Expensive.......2007-05-12
I do not know if spending $60-$80 for a 16ft HDMI cable at BB or CC would have given me any better a picture than this one that I spent $20 for. I use Comcast Cable and the picture on the HD channels, i.e. Discovery Channel, are so sharp you amost feel like the images on the screen are right there in the room with you. Shipping was outstanding, received the cables 4 days after I ordered them. Have always had good expeience with Amazon.com.
HDMI cable without the MONSTER price.......2007-02-24
A funny thing about digital signals, is that they are either a 1 or a 0. Unlike analogue, where quality can degrade or time or distance, in digital you either get the signal or you don't. That being said, this is a great cable, it works well, and it's drastically less expensive than MONSTER cables. I'm sure someone will argue my logic, as they can't believe that less expensive cables could ever do the same job, but this product works and you'll be happy with it.
