Hey all you amateur record producers,would be engineers,and pro musicians out there!Just set up a new home based recording studio. Funds were tight,
so I purchased three pairs of Hps5000 headphones by Behringer. They sound awesome; good bass response, excellent highs.They sound so much better then my Yamaha monitors. The cons are they fit a little tight, but I`ve only used them about 3 to 5 hrs. I think by about the two month mark they should break in nicely.I also have a really big head; they may be fine for normal sized earthlings. Excellent headphones, light comfortable and sound great!.
I work in a home project studio and am very carefull in the items I purchase, every penny counts. I took a chance on these headphones because of the low price and coming from a company I know (Behringer), I gave it a shot. I have since purchased 2 more pair of these headphones to equip my studio and the coolest part is..the color matches my studio decor!

I bought these headphones as backups while I was waiting for another pair, and they ended up being really close. There is so much sound clarity in these phones for the price; it takes you by surprise. The only difference between the Behringers and the other pair I have is the other pair reduces outside sounds. Try them out.

Please save your time and don't buy these headphones. I know they have good ratings elswhere, but you shouldn't get fooled by them. You also shouldn't get fooled by the fact that these headphones look big. They are big, however, the speaker itself is less than 2 inches across. The wires are also very thin. They are connected crudely and weakly, which led to the headphones' death, in my case. My advice to you: keep looking for headphones, but make sure the seller has a good return policy before you buy any.
Good Headphones for the Price.......2006-11-02
These are some great headphones for the price and easy to recommend. They sound awesome and handle the full range quite well for my tastes. The only thing that I have had an issue with is that the cable connected to the ear cup has started to short a little, probably due to heavy wear and tear, but some tape to keep the cable steady has really helped that.

HDMI is a lossless, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface to link any audio/video source (such as a set-top box, DVD player, or AV receiver) with your TV--all over a single cable. It provides up to a 5 GB per second bandwidth for transmitting pure digital video and audio signals with no degradation in the transfer. It can carry up to eight discrete audio channels, making it compatible with 7.1-channel surround sound systems. Signals are encrypted with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) to prevent recording. HDMI is fully backward-compatible with most DVI connections.
Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.

I do not want to spend a lot of time writing this because the other negative reviews you have probably already read are accurate. I have 2 of these TV's. Good prices but cheap quality. The sound sucks on both TV's and the DVD player is out on the newer one. Spend your money elsewhere.
AKAI 32" LCD with DVD.......2007-08-25
Sorry, while the LCD provided fine picture quality, the DVD soon began rejecting DVDs until it finally refused to play any DVD (within 30 days, both old and new DVDs). Upon return, I learned that this particular model has a nasty history of returns for various reasons. Cannot recommend, and in fact discourage anyone from buying this one.
I would give it a 0 out of 5 stars if i could (buy a Vizio instead).......2007-07-24
Bought this TV about 6 months ago and was bad from the get go. First off, the TV quality was horrible. Then around 3 months later I started getting a line down the right side of the screen. Because of that I decided to call Akai's customer service (which is not toll free). They told me that i could return it but i wouldn't get a full refund. So because of that I am stuck with this crappy so called "HD"TV. Stay FAR away from this item, go buy a VIZIO instead.

Ive had this tv for almost a year now and it has not given me any problems at all and beleive me, it gets alot of use. Good picture quality, decent speakers, and a built-in dvd player make this tv a great buy. Of course at the time when i purchased this tv it was much more expensive, so at these prices today, consider it a steal.
HORRIBLE .......2007-05-02
We bought this Akai from Sams Club and within a month the dvd player broke and our dvd got stuck in it. We figured it was because this one was a return, the rep said there was nothing wrong with it, so we gave the benefit of the doubt. We exchanged it for another Akai - same model - and within 2 months the screen went blank and the tv turned itself off. When we turned it on again it would only go on for half a second then go blank again. Thank God for Sams Club where returning/exchanging is easy. We brought it back and this time got a Magnavox. Akai - not worth a penny, absolutely not worth the aggravation.
