It was easy to install. I used one of my old internal hard drives because it was laying around collecting dust and it works great with it. The screws align just right and I haven't had any problems with it.

Setup was simple. Just a couple screws (some you can turn with your fingers) and couple cables. Had no problem using it on my PC. Just plugged it in and it worked! I wish all PC accessories worked like that.

Also, the case just looks cool!

Since it is aluminum it stays pretty cool, but since it is fanless I wouldn't recommend it for heavy duty use.

This enclosure comes with power supply, power cable, clear plastic stand, USB cable and 4 mounting screws for your hard drive. You will need a Phillips-head screwdriver for the mounting screws, and also you may need a jumper for your hard drive, which must be jumpered as "master." It takes only a couple of minutes to mount the drive, plug the cables in, and screw the case closed. It also comes with a driver disc, but I didn't need it for Windows XP; as soon as I plugged it in to the USB slot Windows found the drive and assigned it the next unused drive letter.

This is a plastic enclosure. It is not the coolest thing out there but there are a few things I like about it.
Pros:
1-Inexpensive. 2- It does not need a power supply. All you need is a the same type of power cord that your PC uses. I hate those case with power supply. 3- There is an internal fan to keep your drive cool. 4- Easy to install. 5- Fit an Lighscribe DVD-rewriter.
Cons: 1- Cheap-Plastic cover is cracked already but still works.

Vista Crash, no technical support.......2007-06-14

I bought this last week. It looked perfect for my new Dell machine which surprised me with no IDE cables inside, only SATA. I wanted to use my old IDE hdd & dvd drives.

I connected a 160 GB IDE drive with this enclosure on my brand new Vista machine, it took forever to finish the device driver installation and in the end the machine crashed with blue screen of death.

So I started to look for technical support information, no where to find on either packaging or product manual.

Few good things,

1) When I saw product pictures, I could not tell if it had an opening for a dvd drive tray. But it does.

2) It even comes with a small screw driver, so that you can install your hdd & dvd drives securely with the unit. Nice touch.

Soft and flexible, it's easy to get on and off your Nano, should you need to. I haven't taken mine out of the skin since I got it. Fits with no trouble in my speaker dock. Feels nice to touch, too -- and it doesn't grab dirt or lint. Not very bulky, either. I did get separate protectors, the clear stick-on things, for the wheel and the screen; this doesn't protect those.

It doesn't offer good access to the hold button, but I've never actually USED the hold button so it doesn't bother me.

The clip arrangement is not great. You have a screw that goes into a reinforced area on the back of the skin, and a hard, clear plastic clip is supposed to lock onto the head of the screw. Getting the clip onto the screw head has proven impossible for me, and if you leave the screw in the back of the skin, it won't lie flat should you want it to. Take the screw out, there's no good place to keep it. Fortunately this comes with a lanyard, and that's what I use -- just sling it around my neck when I'm going to or leaving my car.

I got the... uh, the brownish colored one; it looks fine on a silver Nano. If you've got a colorful player, don't expect to see it unless you leave it naked or put it in hard, clear plastic.

A Pretty Good Product.......2007-01-06

I got this on christmas for my red ipod nano. It offers good protection for your ipod, but there were a few problems with this case. For one, it distorts the color of my red ipod, making it more orange than red. Also, the skin doesn't quite match up with the ipod. the hold button is extremely difficult to use because of this. Nevertheless, I thought this was a pretty good skin, but you could probably buy better.

The unit has a terrible picture even with a HD source and has begun to turn itself off randomly up to 20 times a day. Plan no contacting Samsung Monday but am concerned after reading several sites with same unit and no help at all was given to the people by Samsung. I really wish i had not blown my money on this lemon!!!

great tv for the price.......2007-10-30

This tv is great in everyway just like other reviewers have stated. The reason i gave it 4 stars was because when i got mine, it kept shutting itself off because it was overheating. I checked the exhaust vents on the lamp and noticed the vents were not in place and somehow got disconnected from the manufactur. This is not amazons fault and it is samsungs fault. I reconnected everything and the tv runs perfect with no overheating problems now. Xbox 360 looks awesome on this tv.

Better than my Panasonic CRT Rear Projection.......2007-10-30

I bought this to replace a Panasonic 53" CRT Rear Projection 1080i HDTV that broke after 4 years (fried convergence chip). I heard that this issue is irrelevant with DLP technology, but I will have to replace the lamp on a DLP every 8000 hours or so. The overall picture quality on the Samsung DLP is much better than my last TV. The whites are much brighter; however, the blacks are not as dark. XBOX 360, when set on 720P, is incredible on this TV!

Great TV, Great Price.......2007-10-23

I've had the Samsung HLT5075S 50" for about 2 weeks now, and I'm very happy with the purchase. Setting it up was as easy as could be. The menu system is intuitive. My XBox360 games look AMAZING on it. I've never seen a 1080 model, so I can't compare the picture quality, but the 720 is fine by me.

Are there any downsides to the TV? I couldn't find any major problems. When you turn the TV on, it takes about 30 seconds for the picture to fully light up. The remote control also seems to respond a tad slow. But these are minor issues. Overall, this is a great TV.

A friendly reminder: lightning surges CAN travel through a cable TV connection. Make sure you get a surge protector that can also protect cable and your TV.

So far, so good. I received the tv about a week ago and I was extremely please with the price, the condition of the unit, as well as the delivery. They delivered it to my house and were extremely considerate of my schedule. The tv was as-advertised and so far I have not had any problems. The picture is outstanding. So, if you're not planning on hanging your tv on the wall I would recommend this Samsung DLP. Additionally, it's very light (about 50lbs) so it's not difficult to move or find a place to put it. I looked at the 1080p model of the same tv and didn't think that the increase in picture quality was proportional to the increase in price. I think this is the best TV of it's kind for the price. Not to mention that shipping is free and delivery is flexible and convenient. I would recommend this product and seller to anyone. Circuit City was offering the same tv for $500 more plus $60 for delivery.
