Are you kidding??? Good sound from a $5 pair of headphones???.......2007-03-04
Com'on folks...let's be real here. The Coby CV-H42 headphones may have decent sound for a pair of cheap headphones, but com'on...they're only $5 or less. I've tried them on a non-amplified computer monitior at work, and they sound decent. The bass is average at best. If these have a 40mm driver, then I'd hate to hear what a smaller one in a Coby set would sound like.
I've also tried them on my at-home 5.1 amplified PC set-up and they distort way too easily. The bass distorts at almost the slightest bit of bass.
And I concur with those who say that it's a roll of the dice to get a good working pair, as the left-speaker in my set is a bit weak.
I mean let's face it...these are some pretty cheap headphones...if you want a cheap, but great sounding pair of headphones, you better look to a set in the $15+ range. Take for instance the KOSS KTX-PRO 1 Titaniums for $18 here on Amazon. They're sold for upwards of $45 at retailers like Radio Shack. And from all the glowing reviews, they're a hellava set of headphones.
I gave this set 2-stars only because they're decent for a cheap pair, but for audiophiles, stear clear.

Do not buy this one. I bought this because i had to compensate for a few dollars to be eligible for free shipping. This product did not work at all. I threw away the headphones, as i couldn't get it replaced.

These headphones sound pretty good and are also comfortable. I bought five pairs because they were so cheap and I wanted the free shipping. Anyway I'm still using the same pair 6 months later without any problems so I would say they are very reliable.

These are the best headphones under $5 I have ever bought, the only thing wrong with them is that the cord is a little short, but they fit nice and tight around the ears so they sound great.

These are the best headphones I've ever seen for under $5. You can actually hear the bass on them, which you really can't for must headphones in this price range. (Including some that 2 or 3 times as much). The main downside is the length of cord is fairly short, so it makes using it with my PC a little akward some times.

Works, but not for very long. Good product but buyer beware........2007-11-30
I purchased this product for use while I run. The first set back is the product will not stay on my arm. It slips down after about 5 minutes of jogging. No matter how tight I strap on it. If I put it on my jacket rather than my arm, I get better results.
After about 4 months of use however, the stitching is coming apart and I've finally decided to search for a new version. The new problem is, I am unable to find another product out there that works any better...

What can I say? It's inexpensive (some of the prices on the others were just absurd), comfortable (I worried about it being sweaty underneath, it isn't), and holds the device quite securely.
If you've got really big arms, it probably won't fit you. Mine are about 16" without being flexed, and it won't go much bigger than that. So if you're a big guy (or girl, I ain't hatin' ;)), you'll probably want to look elsewhere, unless you don't mind the part below your elbow turning purple.
I've had mine for over a month now with no problems, and I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, and ride a bicycle 5-6 days a week. I figure I would have discovered a weakness by now, and I can't really find any. So enjoy.

I've had the Phillips 52PFL7432D for a week and I feel that I can give a fair review of this product. Anybody looking to buy a new LCD always places picture quality first on the list of features. The picture quality of this Phillips is overall good. The colors are rich and full, especially on blu ray or hd dvd. The screen detail is amazing with HD programs and HD discs. The ambilight feature is beautiful and really enhances the viewing experience. It's not a gimmick! There are 3 hdmi inputs and 2 component inputs and the menu features are immpressive. Each input has indivdual picture controls.
The negative points are minimal. All I can say is only two LCDs that I've seen can beat this one: the samsung LN-T4781f and the sony xbr4 series. To be honest , NOTHING out there can even come close to these two monsters. They both possess LED Backlighting technology, which makes the images look truly 3 dimensional!!! If you have the money $$$$$, buy the samsung or sony. If you can't reach that far - buy this one. You will be pleased.
The only reason I gave this LCD 4 stars and not 5 is because the remote is terrible. I can't tell which way is up half the time. When comparing this LCD to the Samsung or Sony - it falls short in picture quality, but only when compared to the XBR4 or T4081f LCDs.
