Had my KOSS UR-20 'phones for over FIVE YEARS now, and they still work great! Which is rare for electronic items, especially priced under $30. Definitely a quality item.
Good sound, brittle frame.......2007-11-24
I enjoy the sound quality of the R80 unit. However, I have two complaints. 1) the ear cushions wear out too fast and 2) the frame is made entirely of plastic and breaks where the ear piece and headband join. I have sent two pair to Koss for warranty repair in 18 months. The warranty repair cost is $6 plus shipping (about $5). Good thing Koss offers a lifetime warranty. I do not abuse the unit so there is an obvious design weakness in the frame. The R80 has been in production for several years so I wish Koss would modify the frame to improve durability. I guess you need to spend more money to get a steel frame. Because of problem number two I cannot recommend these headphones. The next time they break I am tossing them in the trash. My $35 headphones have now cost me $57 due to repair and shipping cost.

These are great headphones for watching the tube and casual listening at home or work. They're comfortable and block out external noise really well. Lifetime warranty to boot! They sound good - smooth, flat and full - but are not "audiophile" quality. You could do a lot worse for a lot more jing! Stick with Koss, they know "cans!"

I bought these for my father who is temporarily bedridden. They are ideal for the rough treatment this entails-lots of cord tugging, pulling and crushing. They block out noise better than the open-ear style too.

I bought these to use at work after seeing a co-worker with them. These are big over-ear headphones that naturally muffle surrounding sound even when not producing sound. They sound fine, given their price. They certainly work great for what I'm using them for.

Didn't work.......2007-09-12
We hooked this up and it worked for a day although we wern't happy with the picture. I thought maybe I could adjust it but the next day we had sound and no picture. We tried everything to try and get the picture back but even the DVD wouldn't work. It may have been something we changed by mistake but not only was there nothing to be found in the instruction book but no phone number to call for help. Thank goodness for Amazon. We returned it and within a few weeks had a full refund, including the return shipping. We finally went to Best Buy so we could look at the actual picture and bought one we were satisfied with. (Amazon didn't have the model we liked.) I would recommend that if you are going to buy a TV, particularly LCD, to check it out in person and see if you can order it from Amazon. There seems to be a lot of variation in picture quality, especially in the smaller size.
Pretty Good Product for the Price.......2007-07-18
I bought this for a family member recently. Never heard of Audiovox, and I was also worried that it would be a headache to set up, especially with all the hype about HDTV and the various connections and adapters needed.
But this was TV was a delight to receive because:
1) It is light and therefore easy to pick up, set up and adjust
2) It can be wall mounted, and its lightness won't tax your drywall
3) The remote is small and quite easy to use
4) The quick reference sheet + full manual are very easy to understand
5) Plugging in (cable/coaxial and the power cord) was a breeze
6) Picture was very sharp, even though the screen is on the small/medium side (but the person I bought it for needed something of this size)
7) DVD player was simple to understand
8) Many other features and connections are available, if you want to hook up a PC, VCR, camcorder, etc., or go whole hog with all the HDTV accessories. Connections are labelled clearly in the back.
Only a couple of pet peeves (not dislikes, but little irritants): The power supply (what gets plugged into your wall outlet, which is a two-piece cord that has the actual power supply, or little black rectangular box, between the TV and the outlet) got very hot after about an hour. This is a common occurrence with a lot of electronic equipment, but this one seemed a little hotter than others I've had). Pet peeve #2: If you want to load a DVD, you first have to press "DVD" on the remote--even though there are buttons for play, pause, FF, Rewind and Open/Eject on the side of the TV. I initially thought that the DVD player or the TV was broken because the DVD would not open, but then I pressed "DVD" on the remote and it opened fine. The remote is pretty simple, but it still takes some getting used to, so read the manual, which, by the way, is quite slim.
Also, the TV comes with a car cigarette lighter adapter (?). Maybe this was designed for limos, but I guess you would mount it in a big car if you had the room (but what a drain on our battery if you did!).

For some years I tried this and other Monster products, to the tune of over $1000 in Monster a/v gear. The more you learn about video and audio, the more you'll avoid anything with the Monster label. Specifically, this s-video meets no NTSC, DVD or IEEE standard; it is common 30-ohm hookup wire with ineffective shielding and a poorly designed, low-conductance connect plug that can wreck your input jacks and gives poor grounding. Has a sharp image, but includes a catalog of chromatic aberrations from off-color skin tones to color blotching, dirty grays, burned highlights, murky shadows, noisy reds, and poor color balance due to impedance mismatching that results in cyan errors and bleeding reds. Makes video test patterns look great, but who watches test patterns all day? Amazon offers many other brands at good prices, why waste your $$ on this stuff? I removed every piece of Monster from my system and replaced them with AR, Belden, Viewsonics and others from Amazon. Result: vast improvement in every respect.

I had a pair of these cables for approximately 2 years when i noticed there was a frayed end where the connector started to come off. I didn't notice any change in performance but I recalled that ALL Monster Cable "wires" have a lifetime warranty. I thought I'd try and take advantage of their claim and low and behold, I easily made arrangements to have a new one exchanged. It took only a week of waiting (back and forth shipping, mind you) and I had a brand spanin' new cable in my possesion. Great customer service!!!

~I bought the MVSV3-1m cable and put it between my Pioneer V555 DVD player and SONY WEGA tv KV-27FS12, I was unable to see with my naked eyes any improvement regading the visual quality, color, sharpness. Same as the result as I used the composite cable came with the box. I really don't know why. I have to say, my TV is a good one and the picture quality is already satisfactory even I don't use DVD player. Unfortunately my DVD player does not have component jack to let me try the next level video~~ experience. I don't want to say this expensive cable is a poor one, I was just unable to verify its alledged ultra high performance. we just don't have a benchmark to evaluate it.~

No difference compared to another good cable costing 1/2 as much.
Don't believe me - buy and then return it, or just save yourself
the trouble. Monster preys on perfectionists. Those people
