:)!.......2007-07-12
I have had a lot of experience with this line of Panasonic headphones, and have always found them to be reliable, long lasting, and comfortable. however, I personally liked the non-bass ones a little better.
Not a good product.......2007-04-18
This headset lacks in loudness. and the clips are flimsy.
It states specifications about Bass, but just because it's good at bass, it more than likely lacks in the tweeter side. And has low impedance and sensitivity.
I used an RCA Lyra with these headsets and I could still hear people talking to me at the loudest setting. I may go deaf, but I know sound and it's ranges. Not a good headset.
Since the RCA Lyra is a lower end MP3 player, it's a good tester for headsets and I have enjoyed this small player. Also, I am clumsy and drop my player all the time, so a hard drive player is not an option.
Sony MDR-Q22LP w.Ear Headphones with Interchangeable Headphone Caps - is actually a good headset for loudness. The ear clips are secure and tight enough. But the cord material is sticky so it's not good to work out with (running would be fine) and tangles easily. Lasted a long time 3 years, before my friend crushed it with a 45lbs dumbell.
Philips HS520 Reflective Neckband Headphone - NICE and LOUD, I had to turn down the volume, sound range is good. 12Hz is pretty low in bass range in my book for a headset. 24kHz is high enough for tweeter on a headset, some have up to 28kHz, but I am more interested in Loudness and what I can hear. It's a rearfit, it's snug, so if you have a HUGE head it may take time to get adjusted to. But Damn, Nice and loud!!! This is my headset! I can't hear anyone now Woohoo!!!
the cord is nice, it's made of nylon so it doesn't stick and it's not so long that you have to wrap it up... Good headset for the money!
Sony MDR-V150 Monitor Series Headphones with Reversible Earcups - is an excellent headset for this player, sound range is FULL and vibrant and LOUD for such a small player. But not good to work out with and costs more.
HiNRG and Dance music is the best to test out headsets. This style of music uses ALL ranges.
I'm going to buy an extra as a backup pair!.......2007-01-11
My problem with headphones in general is that ear buds fall out when I move around, and regular headphones never line up for me comfortably. They just don't. I was going to try a neck model when I saw this. It solved the problem! Each one simply connects to your ear with a sunglasses-like hook, and it's there to stay. I'm not a sound geek, and I'm sure that they aren't at the top of the list in terms of all the audiophile lingo. But hey -- I listen when I exercise, in airports, and other places where there's noise and distractions -- not a sound studio where I plan to analyze each instrument's contribution to the harmonious mix yada yada yada. And these absolutely do the job. I'm going to buy another set soon, just to have in case I ever lose or break these. I'd pay twice the price, happily.

Good picture short life........2007-10-29
I bought this product at Sam's Club for around $800.00. The picture is good. It was easy to set up. I projected this on a wall with good results. I have had this for about 1 and 1/2 years. This is located in a vacation condo and not used much. The bulb blew with 200 hours of use out of the promised 2000. I was disappointed. The new bulb cost about $300.
Great Value! Great way to get into projectors without breaking the bank!.......2007-04-11
I read the other reports unhappy about Bulb life. We've had this unit for about 20 months and have been very happy with it. We've definitely gotten 2000 hours of use with it before blowing a bulb. It certainly doesn't go to 3000 hours (at least not for us), but for the price of this unit, even with a bulb replacement, it's a great deal. Technology keeps improving so using this for a couple years while prices continue to drop and quality and features keep getting better is a nice and affordable option for folks with an open wall to project on.
If you compare this box on any white or grey wall in your house with an HD signal to a 1000 dollar price range flat screen of the largest size you can get, you'll definitely choose this. That's the same price comparison as buying this plus a replacement bulb. There's likely going to be something even cooler in a couple years and perhaps when it's time to replace the bulb a second time, you'll choose a new unit with new features at that time. Until then, for the money, you'll love this thing. We're totally spoiled watching everything at 7 foot high on our living room wall. HD sports especially look great. Watching regular non HD TV isn't as amazing, thought the size is still great. Everyone who has visited, including those with really nice flat screens have raved about it. We've had a better unit (way more expensive, but better stats) which blew up after about 60 days. That DID have a better picture but since it blew so quickly, we traded for this unit. If budget is an issue for you, this is a great way to get a projector. Flat screens are nice too, but tiny in comparison and the features are ever changing and the prices are ever dropping. Again, this is a good option while you wait a couple years for better and newer options. I am sorry to hear about those who've had bad bulb life. It's also unfortunate to hear Sharp wasn't more understanding. But the unit itself is well done and well priced.
And for those considering a screen, if you have a blank wall, try that first. You might find you like the extra size you get just by going directly to the wall versus the limitions of a screen. We didn't do anything special to our light grey walls and it looks fantastic.
Great projector for the price....until bulb goes........2007-01-11
I am a teacher and purchased one of these for use in school. I like it so much, I bought another for home. A week after the second one arrived the bulb in the first blew. Three weeks later the bulb in the second unit went. I called Sharp and explained and shipped both in. They replaced the bulb in the first unit under the warranty, but the second they wouldn't replace since it was over 90 days. After much "discussion", they gave me the "deal" of a half price bulb ($150). I took it and now will hold my breath to see how long the new bulbs last. I treat these machines like babies, never bumping them, always use proper shutdown techniques, and regularly clean dust off fan grilles, but still lost both bulbs. The specs from Sharp say the bulb will last 2000-3000 hours. Not even close! Beware of this machine.
Great machine Short term/Not great long term.......2006-04-26
I've had 2 of these machines in the last 6 months. There's a reason for the 90 day lamp warranty. If you're lucky like I was, your lamp will burn out before you get to 90 days. One day past that & you'll be paying $300+ for a replacement. Given the initial investment + the $300.00 every 3 months for a new bulb, I'd say this product is barely worth 1 star. The quality of the product is great is you only need it for 90 days. Beware of DLP projectors, especially the SHARP!!!
RIP OFF COMPANY 'WATCH OUT".......2006-01-20
There is only a 90 day warranty on the LAMP. I had this item from Sharp for a little over a year. The lamp had 59% life on it but went dark on me. I had to unplug the device numerouse time because after putting it in the sleep mode, the remote wouldn'tallow me tpo turn it back on. It came with a 3 year warranty (24 hour replacemnt)and had it for almost a full week and they are currently holding my Projector hostage. They are claiming that my lamp warranty has expired, I barely used it since I am in school and used it a couple of hours on week days and about 4 to 6 hours on weekends. It dropped from 49% to 63 % in the lamp life and when I sent it in to them it had already dropped to 59% lamp usage. All of this in the economy mode. I wouldn't buy another thing from this company, because the lamp, s/h all comes to almost $600, almost the cost of a brand new projector. In my opinion, SHARP is a SCAMMING Company that lost my business forever.
