Buy something else for the same price. Bad product........2007-12-21
Ok, let me first start by saying I have owned 20+ set's of headphones or earphones over the last 10 years. I listen 4+ hours a day to them so I have a little more than average experience with this stuff. In a nutshell, these are a waste of money. The sound is very tubular. The midrange seems to be to high in comparison the the bass and treble. I have a custom EQ and I know what I am doing so don't think that I had my settings wrong. They simply do not live up to the Denon name. I think the engineer that created this product and put the Denon name on it needs to be fired. I was highly dissappointed. I paid $49.00 for these and it was a waste. I took these back to the store after 3 days. Buy the Zune version 2 for $39.00 and you will be much more pleased.
Very disappointed.......2007-11-04
Ridiculously bad! I bought them last night, and returned them today. At first, I enjoyed the sound. The cable on these phones is very awkward though. The left is almost 3 times the length of the right, and the cable is very short. You will need to use the extension unless you are a small person, and use an arm band for your MP3 player. I carry my MP3 in my pocket. During my workout, I had to take them out of my ears and put them away. While running, they kept falling out of my ears. I tried the different adaptors, and properly fit them prior to my work out. The weight from the extension cable repeatedly caused the left earphone to fall out. I tried running the cable under my shirt in the front, and back. No luck. The weight from the extension cable, also made the cable move a lot, causing a loud thumping noise in each ear. If you plan on using these, for more than sitting around, think again. They are a huge disappointment, and by the build quality, I don't see them lasting long at all. Shame on DENON for putting out such a bad quality headphone.
Great earphones for the price. .......2007-04-27
I normally don't write reviews, but the previous review is so inaccurate, I felt I needed to give my opinion. First off, these headphones are 1,000 times better than the iPod stock headphones (the ones with the bigger speaker). The sound quality is what you would expect from Denon. The highs and mids are crisp. The bass is of course, exaggerated and heavy, but most people like that. I personally prefer a natural bass, but the bass on these phones works well.
The cord is a bit shorter in length than other earphones, but works well for what I use the phones for. I use these at work, the gym, and mountain biking. I usually run the cord along my back from my rear pocket to my neck. The cord is plenty long for that, and I am a pretty tall guy. The cord is designed to go around your neck, with the length of the cord for the right phone much longer than the left. If you know how to use this feature it is great and will eliminate the need for a shirt-clip, although shirt-clips are nice. The cord is also tangle resistant, which is a definite plus. I wear these phones for 4 plus hours a day, and they are so comfortable I forget they are in my ears.
The earbuds themselves seem to be made out of a metal, and are a bit heavier than the Sony fontopias. They are very comfortable, but may take a day or two to get use to if you have used Sony's in the past. I bought these to replace a pair of broken Sony EX-71's. I find the sound quality and make to be superior to the Sony's. The Denon's are a bit more expensive, but IMHO well worth the price. Also, the ear pieces fit very firmly, so you can skip the super glue.
Update - These Phones also work with iPhone, no adaptor needed.
Sound and fit is OK, design is a bit weird.......2007-03-28

Bud Design *****

Cord design **
I'm pretty rough on my earbuds and have been through many of them. I use them with my ipod during commutes. The cheap skullcandy buds I bought crapped out after about 5 months of heavy use. I would say the skullcandy sounded pretty nice for $10, the Denon buds sound quite a bit better than the cheap buds ($50), but the stock ipod buds still sound superior to the Denons. The ipod buds have a bigger speaker so they sound better but fit in the ear worse.
One of the biggest complaints I have is the bud cord. The length of the left is way shorter than the right side. I guess it's so you can wrap it around the back of your neck, but the difference in length is huge!
The cord is made of a kinda grippy rubber that gets hung up on clothes and pops the buds out of your ear when they get hung up. The one good thing is the cord doesn't really get kinked up and twisted.
Overall, I wish they used something a bit better for the cord and made the length standardized or at least told you on the box/description that they are asymmetrical lengths.
The sound is pretty good and they fit pretty comfortable. I put a tiny dab of super glue on the inside of rubber buds and speaker parts to keep the rubber from popping off and getting lost.
Over all I'm happy with the buds, but for the money will probably buy the apple buds the next time, they are around the same price. The higher end buds are supposed to sound better, but they are too expensive IMHO.

PHENOMENAL HDTV and VALUE! STUNNING picture!.......2007-09-25
I spent weeks researching and viewing the current crop of widescreen HDTV's in order to make an informed selection, with my main objective being to find a 'maximum bang for the buck', lower priced, high quality, reliable HDTV I could 'grow into' (i.e. one that would work great with my current analog standard defenition cable subscription, and my current non-upconverting DVD player- eventually, I will subscribe to digital and digital HD cable, and purchase an 'Oppo' upconverting DVD player). I needed an HDTV for our bedroom which would: A) receive free off-the-air network HD programming; B) excel in displaying analog SD (standard definition) cable by 'line doubling' or 'upconverting' the SD signal effectively; C) display a stunning, 'filmlike' HD picture using a non-upconverting 'standard' DVD player. I found all of the above and then some in the KDF-42E2000. This is my first foray into off-the-air HD, and the picture quality/resolution watching NBC, CBS, and FOX is STUNNING to say the least! Once you watch TV in HD, everything else will pale in comparison, even though this TV does a good job handling SD signals. If you live in a major metro area, you will be able to use an indoor 'rabbit ears' VHF/UHF TV antenna to get most off-the-air HD stations. In my case, I do have some difficulty in receiving NBC at times, and I have to re-orient the indoor antenna frequently. I may eventually just put a better, directional TV antenna and rotator in the attic for better reception. As far as Sony reliability goes, I still have my original big screen TV (a huge 4:3 53" Sony CRT rear-projection model that I bought back in 2000) downstairs in the family room, and I have not had one problem with it in the now 7 years of owning it and using it daily. If you are in the market for a truly great, affordable HDTV that won't 'break the bank', this model will more than suit most people's needs.
Ordering and delivery of a SONY HDTV.......2007-07-07
The ordering process and the delivery of the tv set were excellent. The people who delivered the tv set were very helpful in getting it set up...
Great TV!.......2007-06-12
Yes you have to replace the bulb in this TV, but this is a requirement for all LCDs and plasma TVs. There is a small access panel that makes this a simple repair you can do at home when the time comes. Just keep the cost of a replacement bulb in mind when purchasing the TV (~$300).
The picture this TV puts out is amazing, the TV is very light, and for the price you just can't beat this TV. It has the same resolution as its 56" big brother. The menu system is easy to use and inputs are plentiful. The built in speaker work fine, but are not a replacement for a home stereo.
If you have the room for this TV (medium foot print) and want to save money over a wall mounted LCD/Plasma you will not be disapointed with this TV.
Fair performance...terrible service!.......2007-04-14
This isn't so much a review of the Sony KDF-E2000 TV, as it is the poor sevice from Sony and especially the horrible treatment I received from Rex Electronics where I purchased mine. After a very short time (a matter of days), my bulb popped. Rex immediately actted as if I carried the plague! Sony offered me the fine opportunity to call a service technician 150 miles away (whom I've so far been unable to even contact on the phone?!?). So...here I am with a $1,200 TV that doesn't work, with absolutely NO help from the builder or the seller! I would highly recommend that buyers BEWARE of Rex Electronics!!! They WILL NOT let me return the TV and have also offered a technician...who has yet to contact me! I will be seeking legal advice shortly.
However, the TV itself (in the brief time it worked) was not very impressive. Even after adjustments, the picture was fairly soft with regular cable programming. DVD's were better, but nowhere near as good as I'd hoped. If you're a pretty serious AV person...you might want to look elsewhere.
Great TV .......2007-01-11
We did a ton of research on HDTVs including LCD and Plasma. We chose this one because we didn't need the slimness of the above TVs and also we wanted it to fit in our armoire, where the back would not be seen. We we were concerned with the energy usage of the other types, and this one is Energy Star rated. Right from the start, we were impressed with this TV. From it's ease of usage to it's outstanding picture quality, we are very happy with our decision. Right now we have standard cable, and the picture quality is amazing. We can only imagine what it will be with digital HD! When we did the initial channel programming setup, it also picked up 50 digital music channels that we weren't able to get on our old TV, plus a couple of other digital channels. We have read other reviews where this happened, and we think it's because of the tuner, a definite bonus for us! We hooked up our upconverting DVD player with HDMI cables we bought from Amazon for only 19.99, and that along with our surround sound system, make watching the movies at home a true theater experience.
