Awsome sound.......2007-07-25
I got these headphones just a bit ago, and I really like the sound they put out. Comparing them to some Panasonic, Philips, and stock Creative ones is like night and day. Really nice bass, and enough highs so it doesn't sound muffled... there sound quality is perfect.
But a bit after I bought them the headband broke. I taped it up with a splint and they still work, though.
Also, after a bit of wearing they make my ears a bit sore, since they really squeeze your head.

These are amazing. Crisp highs and deep, pounding lows make these headphones some of the best I've heard. As a self-proclaimed audiophile, I've heard some nice headphones, including a pair of Sennheiser HD 595s that I own. Not to dis Sennheiser, but these 20 dollar headphones might sound better than the 300 dollar HD 595s. And as for comfort, I dont know what that other guy was thinking, or how he was wearing them. These are some of the most comfortable headphones out there, no doubt. Do yourself a favor and buy these if you're looking for a nice pair of neckband headphones. You won't be disappointed.
Update: I've had these headphones for four months now, and the neckband just snapped today. Sure, they're cheap headphones, but they should be built with more quality than they actually are. They've got a 2-year warranty, and because they sound great I fully intend to replace them. But beware, these are more fragile than they should be. I want to change the number of stars I rated from 5 to 3, but it seems Amazon won't let me...
Great Sound, Unbelievably Uncomfortable.......2006-01-19
I bought these in the hopes that they would replace my inexpensive Philips HS500 Behind-The-Ear Headphones. The sound quality was better than the Philips but I can't wear them for more than 30 minutes at a time. I can wear the HS500's for hours on end and no discomfort.
Though the sound is great, if you can't wear them, what good are they!
I'll gladly stay with my HS500, which are now extremely inexpensive...

it looks nice in its retail packaging, and i own some other products such as two webcams, and mouse and others from logitech, so I bought myself this headphone. Its personal preference, but I do not like how it doesn't sit on the ear but instead your head is squeezed between it. it feels like it is going to fall when I wear it, so i can't imagine listening to my mp3 with this headphone on the bus or something. the changing the color plate does sound kind of cool though, but the around the head piece of plastic is not the comfortable. finally, yes it does look good, and works alright, but comfort wise, i'm gonna stick with my sony single U above my head type headphone that doesn't leave my ear hurting after just one song.

Bad Choice.......2006-12-19
I had this tv for only a few weeks when the bulb started overheating and would not play. There is no autherized repair center in my entire state so the tv had to be sent to an "unuatherized repair center" who is approved by JVC. To make a long story short, my tv is ready today, 12-18-06, but I will not receive it until the salesman picks it up and delivers it to my house. It was sent in for repair over 6 weeks ago. During the repair time someone else had their same tv go one the blink for the same problem. The salesman I bought the tv from felt this was a factory defect common to this tv. The JVC people I talked to never returned my calls even though they said they would within 48 hours. JVC also accused me of possibly abusing the tv. Bad tv.Bad service. Bad choice.
Spectacular Picture on this set........2006-02-08
I have had this JVC for a little over a month now. I am very pleased with the quality of picture from this set. No screen door effect as in LCD type displays, no rainbow effect as in DLP type displays. The best of both worlds if you ask me. Small footprint and only 85-lbs. Picture is bright and wonderful, blacks are not as deep as CRT or DLP but they are more than acceptable, much better than most LCD type sets. There is a bit of fan noise that disappears into the background once the audio fires up. All in all you can't go wrong with this set. I just watched Fellowship of the Ring SE and was blown away by the visual quality running in progressive scan. Wait till you see Discovery HD running through HDMI connection. I love this set, no regrets here.
Awesome, beautiful picture, nice design.......2005-12-21
I've now had this tv for over two months and I am extremely high on it. The picture when viewing HD is awesome - everyone who visits and watches ESPN-HD, Monday Night Football, Discovery-HD or one of the other HD channels can't believe how "real" it looks. It is like you are THERE! This was my third unit to try (returned Sony 50" RP LCD, and Samsung RP CRT 47") and it is a keeper. I needed a TV with the speakers on the bottom - the ones with the speakers on the side have better sound "alignment" but are typically obnoxiously wide. I also considered the Samsung DLP but could not bring myself to buy it based on all the issues with the color wheel, rainbow effect (on visitors, does not effect me), and the very questionable integrity of the company (fined $300M for DRAM dumping in the market). The other thing I liked about it was that it came bundled with a stand - most other TVs don't and you'll get stuck with another $300-500 expense if you don't have a place for it already. Here is a quick summary:
Pros: awesome bright HD picture, great value with TV stand, good sound quality, good cabinet design, appears to be good quality, good remote
Cons: slight fan noise (not too bad), 30 second start-up time

Not recommended - green push........2005-10-21
Buying the HD-52G786 was a big mistake. The color decoder is flawed, overemphasizing green by about 20 percent. The result is that this TV will not produce good yellow colors. If you see a commercial with scrambled eggs, they will look green. Blond hair has a green tint. Things that are supposed to be green like vegitation looks very unnatural. To compensate, you would have to move the tint control so far to the red side that everyone will look like they have a sunburn. When I returned this set to the store, I looked at the other display models, and they all had this green push.
The remote control menu is poorly organized. You cannot go direclty to the imput you want without going through all input in a loop, with each input change taking a couple of seconds. There is a picture settings control for "normal, dynamic, game" that seems like it can only be accessed from the side panel controls. I came across this setting by accident, and then looked but could not find this function at all in the remote control menus.
The fan noise is also quite loud to the point of being an anoyance. I ended up trading this for the Hitachi 50VG825, and I am very happy with that choice.
