Poor Durability.......2007-11-22
It worked fine on my ipod for almost exactly a month. Then, all of a sudden, the sound kept going on and off depending on how I held my ipod, as if there were a wire loose somewhere, making a connection only when helped by gravity.
At first I thought it was my ipod, and I already started looking for the warranty information. Then I tried a different set of earphones, and the problem completely disappeared! It was the brandnew earphones...
This is exasperating. How hard can it be to fashion a set of earphones with a jack that doesn't give up the ghost in less than four weeks? I've had costly problems with Philips items in the distant past, and haven't bought any of their products in twenty years. But this time I thought: let's give 'em another chance. With the regularity of clockwork, Philips has managed to produce yet another piece of untrustworthy equipment. Never again!
Made me love my iPod again........2007-07-01
These are terrific headphones. Strong bass, generally excellent sound quality. For the past year and a half I've been disappointed in the volume/bass level of my iPod Nano, never realizing that the problem was actually my old headphones (same style, different brand). I picked these up, and suddenly I'm turning DOWN the volume on my Nano instead of maxing it out just to reach an adequate level. Part of the difference is that these phones hug the ear very tightly, which might be why some reviewers find them uncomfortable. I, for one, don't find them uncomfortable--they're certainly preferable to the ones that sit inside the ear (ouch!). I strongly recommend these.

These are really great. You should be aware that there are slightly different versions of this model. I used to own the blue ones shown in the picture, but when I ordered another pair they were silver with a slightly different look. But they feel the same. These are great for long-haired girls who don't want to get "wrap-around-headphone hair" or people with tiny ears who find ear buds painful to wear.
Uncomfortable, but decent sound quality.......2007-01-06
The sound quality on the Philips clip-on headphones is above-average. The noise cancellation is much better than I thought as well. The problem is that they are very uncomfortable for me. After only about 20 minutes of use, I have to take off the headphones because they hurt my ears. I don't think this is necessarily because of these specific headphones. I think all clip on headphones are rather uncomfortable, but then again, that depends on the wearer.
Another problem I had was trying to get them to stay on. If you clip them all the way into the crevice behind your ear, they should hold just fine. However, if they aren't clipped all the way on, they fall right off. If you like clip-on headphones, you may like these, but if not I would recommend avoiding them and going for ear bud headphones instead.

These are the best headphones I've ever bought. Comfortable fit, light, and no bulk. As long as these are available to buy, I'll never buy another kind of headphone.
