Sound Isolating Technology

Shure Thing: I3c.......2007-09-21
I drive about two hours a day and needed the highest possible headset for calls with clients and numerous conference calls. I use the Ic3 for maximum noise isolation. It is quite good with the variety of earbuds Shure supplies. I use custom molded earplugs, which are superb. My BlackBerry suffers from low audio output, but with the high isolation of the I3c I actually have to turn it down. I am confident this will be good for my hearing in the long run.
Reports are that the microphone noise rejection is good. I have not had a chance to test that personally.
I listen to books on tape while I drive and am not talking, and the performance there is perfect as well.
Only negative: lots of cords, but there probably is no way to connect to two independent devices without them.

This has been an awesome buy for me. It helps protect my Zen Micro perfectly even with some fairly good knocks here and there, but I can still access what I need to when I want to. The only problem is that when it arrived, there was a scratch across the front of the plastic in front of the screen. I can deal with that, however, so it's not a big deal, but I'll make it a 4/5 for it.

This hard case put a giant gash on the front screen, and several hairlines on the back of my precious Zen Micro, upon first insertion!
Who is the genius who thought it was safe to put HARD CLEAR PLASTIC against HARD CLEAR PLASTIC? Save yourself the agony and get another case from Creative.
The spring broke on my manufacturer's case's clip, which is why I wanted to buy a new case. I admit, I'm an idiot for paying $19 for this. But I can't believe it's selling online for $39 some places! It's not even worth having for free, since it damages your player.
When I heard they wouldn't refund me, I ran it over with my Jeep. This was the most fulfilling part of my shopping experience.
Great, but designed for the regular Zen Micro.......2007-01-13
I ordered both the silicone Rhinoskin and this magnesium hardcase Rhinoskin for my new Zen Microphoto. The specs say that they are not meant for the Microphoto. I decided to take a chance, with the thought that I could give them to my stepdaughter for her regular Zen Micro if they didn't fit.
The hardcase is very well made. The clear plastic face is slightly convex over the LCD, providing a little magnification. The front panel folds back and becomes a nice little stand. The included belt clip provides a swivel joint, and is easily removable. The clip is spring loaded, and opens far wider than the clip for the silicone skin. Additional clips are available on the manufacturer's website. Everything is easy to access. I really like the case.
The silicone skin is also well made, and is at least 1/16th inch thick. The fit on the Micro is very good. I think any Zen Micro owner would be very happy. I was a little concerned about the belt clip. It is a single cast piece of plastic and I suspect could break with extended use. The clip is easily removable, and the case is perfectly usable without the clip.
The problem with the Microphoto is that it's a bit thinner than the Micro, especially at the bottom. The Micro has a very firm interference fit in the hardcase and will not slip out. It also slides easily and snugly into the silicone skin. The Microphoto, on the other hand, fits loosely in both cases. It rattles a little in the hardcase case. You could line the cases with a couple of very thin strips of sticky back felt, or perhaps vel**o tape, and the Microphoto would be very secure. The Microphoto also has a taller LCD, and the top edge of the silicone skin window hangs slightly over the Microphoto LCD. It doesn't affect the functionality in either case.
I was tempted to fit the hardcase with a shim and keep it. In the end I decided to give both cases to my stepdaughter. They fit her Micro to perfection, and she is delighted. I'll keep my beloved Microphoto in the original cloth case until I find a product that is designed specifically for it.
Piece of junk... avoid.......2006-08-04
Bought this little addition to my Creative Zen micro to protect it and carry it around as I use my MP3 everywhere I can. Started by scratching the little screen, but I could still live with that. Unfortunately there is a major design flaw in this system with the screw getting loose very quickly. My MP3 ended up on the concrete of the parking lot. No need to say that it is dead!
So if you want to keep your Zen micro in good shape, avoid this at all cost.
Zen Micro case does not fit Zen Micro Photo.......2006-07-04
Careful, I ordered this a few days ago. It hasn't arrived yet but in the meantime I checked it out at Rhinoskin's website. Althoughit is advertised as a Zen Micro case, the manufacturer say, in small print, that it doesn't fit the Zen Micro Photo.

Great Projector!.......2006-04-26
I purchased this projector about three months ago, and I have to say I LOVE IT! I read many reviews before making my purchase, and I read a lot about fan noise, and a lot of technical jargon that I didn't understand. The bottom line is, this projector is GREAT, for the price. I run all my video through it, sattelite tv, DVD, etc., and the only thing I have to say is that, as long as you put a good, clean signal into it, you will NOT be disappointed. It is very unforgiving of a bad signal, I assume because of how incredibly large the image is. For example, I ran my son's PS2 through the VCR (yes I still have one)and played a game on it, and it looked HORRIBLE! But watching sports, or a good DVD, it looks awesome. I would recommend this projector to anyone looking to break into the projector market. Sure there are more expensive ones, with more features, etc., but you can't beat this one for the price!

Folks this bad boy is outstanding.
I used to own the (NEC VT47 Digital Video Projector) and this one blows it out of the water. This is the best projector for the price. Our local tweeter store had a display set up for a 6000 dollar projector and friends, mine is just as good. After my other one bit the dust, thanks to Alabama Powers flipping the electricity on and off and not replacing it when I nicely pointed out that they had killed it... still a sore spot... I waited about six months before I got a new one. I have been studying and demo-ing projectors for years: Prices, resolution (the horizontal and vertical lines that make up the detail) and the lumens (The brightness of the bulb... Typically in a dark room 1300-1500 is plenty) all the specs.
After all the search, and finally getting my hands on it, I am so pleased with my decision. Sharp has really come through.
The Focus is manual, but if you have it in a fixed position you shouldn't have to worry about it after one adjustment. The keystone is only top and bottom, so its ok to rest your projector at an up or down angle, but it needs to be close to straight on. Which is what I wanted anyway.
The Picture: Stunning. I have watched several months worth of tv and atleast a hundred movies through it, and have yet to see it deminish in quality. Fan of computer animation? ToyStory and Finding Nemo are terrific on this thing. It can take anything you wanna throw at it: The Murkiness of Gladiator or Saving Private Ryan, the wild blow outs of amber and yellow in Domino, or the simplicity of lush foliage as in The Thin Red Line. Its all good. I have waited several months to review it, just to make sure I didn't mislead any of you, my Amazon friends. Thankfully, now I can say, go get it!
The Fans are quiet, and just so you know (and this is coming for Roger Ebert) Lowering the brightness of your bulb in the settings DOES NOT lengthen the life of it. Its a myth folks. So, if you are gonna get one or have a projector already, turn up the brightness to get its full protential.
Everyone that has come to my home and watched a movie on it wants one. Not some of them, All of them. Also, the further back it gets from your screen the better it gets. Thats a huge characteristic. (I have a light colored wall and it works perfect... remember in Back to the Future 2 when future Marty has a tv in the window shade. I have a whole wall!)My last one lost quality. At 13 feet wide, the picture was still amazing. Its also comes ready to plug in the next generation dvd players: HD-DVD AND BLURAY.

Great Picture- Not so good for the long haul.......2006-04-18
I just returned my second projector in 6 months. I replaced my TV with this projector & have loved the larger than life images and great quality. Unfortunately, the DLP light only lasts about 3 months of 2-3 hours of TV a day. The replacement bulbs are expensive at over $300.00 each on-line. If you don't mind replacing the bulb every three months & the cost that goes along with it, it's a great projector.
Great Picture for Less $.......2006-03-10
I have over 200 hours on this projector and it is awesome. I have a DVD player and a VCR (for cable) hooked up to it. The dvds play great and look amazing while the regular cable is so-so. I will have many hours of enjoyment from this purchase and my family is amazed. The only thing thats a bummer is no DVI or HDMI input. I have an upconverting DVD player and cannot use the better technology. But all in all I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, an Amazon.com has been great to purchase from over the years.
