Sony uses 13.5 mm driver units in these headphones. While lightweight and small enough to fit inside the ear, they also deliver a good bass sound and wide frequency range (down to 18 Hz.) Neodymium magnets give the headphones maximum energy at a minimal size and weight. The open-air design allows for ambient noise to enter the ear, a safe feature for exercisers as you will hear car horns, passing bikers and dog barks. My only gripe with these wonderful headphones are that the wires at both ends eventually go bad at 3-6 months of really heavy use (I'm pretty ruthless with my equipment). Otherwise, I can't say enough good things about these -- the cord is of ample lenght, fits in your ears well, fits your heads well, good sound range, low profile, goes well with the black ipod. Its too bad these aren't available at more places, but they are very reasonably priced at Amazon. I'm scared they will be discontinued at some point -- I'd be crushed. Four stars for the flaw at with the wire connection at both ends (the low price makes up for it).
Durable and good sound.......2006-11-12
I've owned 2-3 paris of these over the yeaers. One pair I found used at a garage sale for 50cents and the others I got new. They've neve failed me. I do not like ear buds nor the ones that go around the pass of your neck. Regular hp's are too cumbersom. Thes rule!
don't buy these if you run with an ipod.......2005-07-25
I've bought 3 of these and each has lasted no more than 3 months and broken in exsactly the same manner, the left "speaker" stops working. I use them running with an ipod and don't kinow if the running or the ipod have anything to deo with the defect, but i've bought my last pair.

These headphones produce wonderful clear sound at a great price. Perfect for portable or computer audio. I have several headphones in this price range, and these undoubtedly produce the highest quality sound. It's sleek and well made. It combines the best of both worlds: like in-ear headphones, it's lightweight (does not produce any strain whatsoever) and does not allow noise to escape and bother those around you; like over the head headphones, it's durable and stays on securely.

Ok, I'm not an audiophile. I'm not a headphone expert. I'm just someone who really likes to listen to music while working out, and these do a really good job. They're lightweight, produce a clean sound, and don't fall off my head. The ear buds sometimes come out of my ears, but not too much.

This is great TV with a good user interface and a spectacular picture. I have had no problems with it and although I know you can now getter better ones for less cost, if you can get this used at a good price or at a lower price than the newer models, you may want to consider it.
There are three different color modes on this TV and I use them all for different purposes. For example, low definition, non-digital signals often look best in VIVID mode. Flesh tones and dark shadowy scenes almost always look most realistic in PRO mode. However, for most purposes the STANDARD setting is great.
I am also very happy with the viewing of the picture at all different angles and with the lack of glare factor. On some of these HDTV sets, viewing at another angle changes the color or glare. This is not a good thing and it's downright annoying if you have multiple people viewing the set in your living room.
There are also many hook up possiblities and they are easy to reach. I did a lot of research before buying this and I'm very pleased with my TV 1 year latter. I'm also confident that I was very thorough in my research and for sets made during this period this is good quality and now you can get it for less.
A small shortcoming is that the built in speaker could be a bit louder. It is adequate for a small room, but if you really want great sound I would run it through your stereo or a home studio setup.

We are using these TVs (we bought 2) as extra monitors along side our 50 inch plasma to watch several things at the same time, and they are great. Haven't hooked up HD yet, but even cable and non-HD satellite look great. Great picture, lots of adjustment options. Also, a great TV for the price. This TV lists at a muvh higher price on most other internet sites and local stores.

LCD tv's a by far a better quality. Despite the price, there are numerous benefits. They have less power consumption and emissions, there is absolutely zero glare. This Sony unit is beautiful displaying HD content and standard content is nice as well. I keep this one on my desk and when I purchase my new computer I will buy another to use side by side for editing video. I have had zero problems in about one year of use. I only wish I had purchased the bigger one but this one is perfect for taking outside special events.

I had been saving up for a new tv for over a year and a half. I finally decided on the Sony KLVS23A10 23" TV. When I turned the set on, I was blown away by the clarity of the picture. This is my first HDTV and couldn't believe the detail of the picture. It was like I was looking at a 3D image. This set has four viewing options wide zoom, normal, full, and zoom. I personally prefer the wide zoom for movies because it brings the picture up close with minimal distortion.
The sound has three options dynamic, natural, and clear voice. I prefer dynamic. The first time I heard the sound on this set was when I was watching a movie, and there was a scene where water was dripping. The TruSurround was sooo goood that I had to check and see if it was raining outside.
I love my KLVS23A10 and would highly recommend it if you're in the market for a small sized HDTV with superior picture and sound. I can't wait to see football games on my new HDTV this fall.

This model does not have all the bells and whistles as the more expensive models, but still produces a great picture. Very happy with this television. Excellent for both HDTV and Xbox 360.
