The sound quality was excellent for the money. It can't take yanking on the cord or steping on it. My Koss headphones never had that problem but look what they cost.

Wow. I have used some really crappy quality headphones in my life thus far and I am awed to say that this is the new low. The best way for me to describe the sound would be that these headphones are like a "magical" filter that filters all your wonderful sources of sound, be it musics or movies, into a horrible sounding AM radio. That's how they sound. So, don't buy these headphones unless they are dirtcheap and you really really really need some headphones in a hurry.

First, the speakers hurt my ears (they clamp to your head tightly) and another thing, after two weeks of using it, it stopped emiting sound. :-( However the sound quality is wonderful, full bass, etc.

It WAS too good to be true........2007-10-19
When "everyone" (friends, co-workers, consumer reviews) said the Sony Wega SXRD was THE BEST HDTV, I splurged and spent $2600 in January 2007 on a KDS-R50BR1 as a retirement gift for myself. The picture wasn't as sharp as I expected but I blamed it on the antiquated cable wiring in my apartment building. Nine months later the screen went black and the "fun" began - scheduling and waiting for repairmen, sending the set to the repair shop, waiting for part after back-ordered part to be tried in the set. After eight weeks of repeated phone calls to the dealer, repair shop and Sony, Sony finally gave me a replacement - a REFURBISHED set, the same model as the piece of junk that I bought. What a nightmare! Now that I'm learning about all the problems others are having I'm just waiting for it to start all over again. My confidence in Sony is shot.

are on the recall list. Stay away
from this one. Defective light engine
which is the heart of the TV. Just had
mine replaced now the entire picture has
blue hue. This is a $1000 plus repair
Sony is only covering this part for another
year. Now I have a worked on $3000 plus piece
of junk. My $150 Target tube TV gets a better
overall picture. The underpaid Sony Reps could
care less, Just like upper management. Going
to sell this junk at a deep discount don't need
the aggravation with Sony or their service techs.

I held off for years on buying a large format TV because of the considerable cost. I bought this from Circuit City 14 months ago, and I am getting an ugly green tinge to the picture. I purchased the extended service plan, so I was thinking perhaps it's just the light bulb going and I'll be all right. Well the serviceman walks in, looks for 2 seconds and says "I know what's causing it; we have been seeing a lot of this recently. He went on to explain, that of anything that could go wrong, this is the most expensive as it is essentially the heart of the system. Well at that point I stopped feeling better and felt I may be dealing with a bad design. I came to the Amazon website and read reviews of one person after another having issues with this model. Now I feel like I'm screwed as I see no reason this wont keep repeating. Buyer Beware, Avoid Sony Products.
Another SXRD Bites The Dust !.......2007-08-04
Mine has been going south with the vertical green bar problem for the past couple of months. Green bar(s) growing in intensity over time. No point in replacing parts, the fundamental technology is flawed; after another 9 months, it will fail again. I cannot believe Sony did not know about this defect in the system. My guess is that they released it to the field in an attempt to recoup their investment costs. For the first time ever, if a Class Action starts on this one, I will join.

i had just purchased this tv from bestbuy on sale $1799, lugged it home, dragged it up 2 flights of stairs, hooked up all wires and connections and did the initial setup. Picture looks great, but wait, whats that high pitch noise? Sounds like a smoke alarm only not as loud but very high pitched. Even when i turn off tv it still makes the noise. Only by unplugging did it solved the problem. Called customer service, when thru the whole ordeal of their step by step protocols and about 1 hr later, no fix but now they have all my info they collected from me to send me more promotions and advertisement. So now less than 3 hours from purchase i returned it to bestbuy, they tested it and found same problem but didnt have another model to exchange with. Disappointed at first, but later after reading more reviews im glad they were out of the tv. I knew there must have been a reason that a $2600 tv was now being sold for $1799.

Simplicity is the name of the game........2007-12-14
I bought the Logitech Z-5500 speakers, but I didn't want to screw them into the wall. The problem with these speakers is that they don't fit (screw) into the 'standard' speaker stands.
The solution: The Gallery Noir Wood/Glass Speaker Stand. I have them set up on either side of my couch. The design is simple, but elegant. The top shelves are sturdy and have more than enough strength to hold any small speaker set out there. The middle selves are supposed to be used for storing DVD's, CD's or Games. It works fine, so long as they are ALWAYS filled with cases. If 1 case is pulled out, the rest sort of fall onto each other, so I would recommend getting a 'real' media storage center. What I used the shelves for was items I wanted on display. A mini bust, a trinket or just put a coaster down and use it as handy, accessible and not in your way place to hold your drink. Great for those without a coffee table, like me.
The assembly was easy and took about 3 minutes. The packaging seems small but protects your item well.
I just bought another set of speakers for the bedroom and will be buying another pair of these speaker stands to hold them. Definitely recommended for those who want a nice, simple and sturdy item. Something that wont be easily knocked down by mischievous cats.

I don't have all that much experience putting things together, so I was a little worried because of one reviewer's comments about the instructions being hard to understand. On the whole, I found that they were fairly simple to put together, and the diagrams were very helpful.
There's unfortunately no way to thread cables through any part of these stands, so if you're looking to keep your cabling invisible, these might not be the stands for you. I'm using them for my rear speakers, and they're pretty small (small enough that I would be able to fit one on the top shelf and another on the bottom), so I don't have any problems with instability, though I think it might be an issue for people with larger, heavier speakers on carpet.
Poorly Made Product.......2007-04-11
This product was totally disappointing. The directions were difficult to follow, there were only poorly draw diagrams to describe the construction. The product is very flimsy and unstable. I will not use it for the purpose of placing my Paradigm speakers, nor would I purchase this product again or any other product of this type. I have been completely unsatisfied with this product. Finally, during assembly of this product I somehow managed to chip the frosted glass shelves because the rods for the stand came in a somewhat bent manner from the package

These stands were easy to put together and look very nice. They blend in with the TV and other AV components, so they would go nicely with any decor. They also had a pretty reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them.
