These super-light, ear-bud headphones weigh a mere six grams (.18 ounces.) They are the perfect headphone for those who relish lightweight, quality headphones. The silent cap confines the music to the listener's ear and away from those in the immediate area, a plus for those using the headphones in the coffee shop or library. The earphones are also open-air, meaning they allow ambient noises to enter the ear; this translates to a safer headphones, as the listener will be aware of horns, whistles and shouts.
The MDR-E818LP's deliver a quality sound, even with their small size. The headphones use sixteen millimeter drive units for a deep bass and clear treble. Sony also uses neodymium magnets which provide more energy per ounce than other conventional magnets. The PET diaphragm gives the headphones a high rigidity for minimum distortion. Finally, Sony's Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit achieves high sonic output by utilizing sound chamber and duct technology. The cord is one meter long (3.3 feet) for ample range of movement.

Great yet inexpensive product.......2007-07-08
When I purchased these I had the mindset of just giving them a try because they were only 8 dollars. I didn't expect too much. I got them to replace my Ipod earphones which are the lousiest earphones ever. more sound left the earphone to the surrounding environment than what actually entered my ear. These sony earphones are different. I am really happy with the purchase.

These lightweight, comfortable earbuds provide good, well-balanced, sound at an attractive price. They do not rival $200 headphones, of course; but they are better than one would expect for the price. There are no frills--I used to have a similar set with a small in-line volume control, but they were bundled with a Sony Clié PDA and don't seem to be available for separate purchase. One word of caution: an identical pair of these headphones developed distortion on one side after only about three months; I have no idea if it is common for them to go bad so quickly, but at their low price I was willing to gamble on another pair--so far, after about a month, there have been no problems.

Do not buy these. After two minutes of using these, I realized that they weren't going to stay in my ears and I was S.O.L. They are oddly shaped, uncomfortable, and do not stay in.
Good Earbuds for the Portables.......2006-12-29
I bought these earbuds for my CD player (at the time) because the ones I had before died on the right side. They were a pair of RCA behind the neck headphones I bought at Family Dollar for very cheap. I would buy another pair but now I have an iPod and want to buy mostly earbuds and clip headphones that are more portable. I was planning on buying a pair of Philips earbuds at Target because (I thought) these were dead on the right side and I dislike the iPod earbuds, but when I plugged these into my iPod they worked fine. After a break-in session they sound even better.
Well, they are only ten bucks, so what can you expect? Not a ton, not a surround soundstage and great, powerful sound, but maybe something that has at least average sound, are comfortable, and will last a decent amount of time. And thatt's mostly what I got with these earbuds.
They don't have stellar sound (that for some reason a ton of reviews rave about), but they have decent sound that's good enough for the money. Not a lot of bass, but some pairs at this price have barely any bass. The mids on this pair are emphazised (but not by a lot, props to Sony). And they do have a good, clean sound to them, so even if you are unhappy with the low end of these earbuds you at least have a good upper end.
For other aspects of the earbuds, they are very comfortable and fit much better than the Apple earbuds, but feel better with the pads. I have already lost the pads but still fit fine and are still comfortable for long periods of time. Also, these are some durable headphones so far, and after a half-year of use they still put up nicely.
Overall, not a bad pair of esrbuds for portables. Already got a better pair? Keep these for some useful back-ups. They don't have amazing sound, but are comfortable and last long enough to make them worth the price. 4 stars.
NOTE: These are the case-less version of the MDRE828LP earbuds. If you want a case for a barely steeper price, check out the MDRE828LP earbuds instead of these, but if you want a money-saver, buy these.
Great for the $.......2006-11-10
I got these ear buds to use along with my notebook computer since they are so small and easy to carry. I have had several Sony products in the past with no complaints and like this design of ear bud. Plus they are under $10, even if they get lost or break after a year or so your not out much. For what they are, they do a very good job. You can't really expect great sound quality or build quality in this price range. If you want a great set of headphones check out the Sennheiser HD-595s, you won't regret it.

Nice LCD TV.......2007-05-10
Very good LCD. I got rid of my Toshiba Widescreen LCD TV/VCR Combo to get this and I don't regret it at all. I was looking for a similar TV/VCR combo that was standard definition and though this is not a combo TV, I am impressed. The picture looks good even without tuning. But it did take quite a bit more tuning to get it just right. But once there, excellent.
It is almost as good as my old tube TV. The colors are sharp and natural looking unlike many LCDs. It has a nice slim design and is very light weight. Super product.

Good product for the price........2007-12-23
Bought these stands for my new Samsung home theater system rear speakers. The design is good, it's very sturdy and well built. The only fault (and the reason I didn't give it 5 stairs) is because it wasn't totally compatible with the Samsung speakers. The speakers are rounded at the bottom so they don't fit snugly with the stand. Nonetheless, the bolts are enough to hold everything together.

Nice stands I never seen any of the expensive ones but these work well for what I have. At first I was not sure if I liked them but they ended up working great. If you have satellite speakers specially the Polk RM6750 which is what I have they work great.

I bought these hoping that I could use them for my Klipsch Quintet III speakers. I did have to go out and buy some additional hardware to make them work, but I successfully mounted them with the shipped brackets. The base is sturdy enough for them as well (~5 lb.s). Would definately recommend for my speakers and smaller.

These speakers stand are very good, at first I only bought a pair and when I finally got it I was so please that I order the other pair right of way. It works good and it looks good and for the price no one can beat that.
A Great Deal in Speaker Stands.......2007-12-10
These stands are a remarkable value for the price. All the other stands I've looked at were very much over-priced. The setup easily, have sturdy, heavy bases and effectively hid your wiring. I had no problems attaching my speakers with the supplied hardware. Buy them if you need stands. I bought two sets, one for front left and right, and one for rear left and right. A good deal.
