There is no length description on this product but one can infer by the picture it isn't that long. I can't buy this product unless I know for sure how long it is going to be.
EDIT*** (May 25, 2006) I decided to go ahead and buy this extension cable anyway even after my review since it was the cheapest at $5.99 sold by Amazon.com. Well after receiving it I now know it is a 20 ft. cable and works very well. It is coiled so I don't know if it actually achieves 20 feet and it pulls on you if stetched too far. It also comes with an adaptor to make it headphone to headphone extension. It achieves what I needed it for so all in all I am happy with my purchase.
If I could change my rating I would now give it 4 stars.

First Impression.......2007-02-02
I am really satisfied with the performance, appearance, operation, and price of this a/v receiver. The sound quality is outstanding. We watched Titanic the other night, in surround sound 5.1, that convinced me that it was a great buy for us. By the way it does help to read the manuals. I'm writing this after 2 weeks of use.
Good unit for the price. .......2007-01-22
I purchased this unit yesterday to accompany my 46" Samsung DLP TV. The unit looks slick, is easy to connect, and the speakers are compact. Another reviewer mentioned lack of the ability to control treble/bass. I thought that was odd as well, and kept it in mind as I perused all other home theater options at the store. Lo and behold, I found that almost none had such ability. Further control of the sound is unlikely unless you purchase higher-quality components.
Having said that, I think the HT-Q45 sounds good. You can use the "effect" button to switch among different "sounds," i.e. "stereo," "movie," etc. And they seem appropriate for each selection.
Bottom line - this is a sub-$300 home theater system in a box that met or exceeded my expectations in all areas. I'm happy with the purchase. Of course, if you have a Samsung TV like me, I think it behooves you to take an even closer look so you can control your TV with the same remote.

i am a woman and i installed it myself that was a plus the only thing that i had problems with is the instruction manual it could have been a little more user friendly

I have listened to the product and am pleased with the sound that the speakers put out. I liked the Q45 because the speakers aren't real big as I bought the unit for my bedroom. I would have liked it if the unit had come with speaker mounts. I purchased some universal speaker mounts at Best Buy and had to pay almost $100.
The unit being a 5 disc changer is quite large in width and length. It won't fit in just any entertainment center. If you're going to purchase an entertainment center or already have one, make sure the unit will fit, especially if you want it in a closed door compartment.
The remote is easy to use and setup was a breeze.
I have a Samsung DLP TV and am quite happy with that also. So far, Samsung has been great.
A little disappointed.......2006-12-09
The user above had a great review. I bought this system after researching home theaters for quite some time. I decided on this one because of the price ([...] rebate at the store I purchased this). The receiver does not have an S-Video input, which was a little disappointing since I don't have a HDTV. As the other user noted, this system does not have the ability to adjust the tones, which is shocking. I also found this system very buggy. In fact, I'm returning mine for a new one today. After only 2 weeks of having this, when powering up the system there is a machine grinding noise that only goes away after powering down the system and restarting it. Also, I've noticed a high pitch ring from certain dvds in the receiver (not through the speakers). The remote seems buggy also. You have the option to control the receiver or TV with the remote. At times, it just won't work (no lights display when pressing buttons). You need to reselect either TV or RECEIVER to get it working again. It also is lacking the feature to return to the previous station you were viewing. This system is average at best, if that.
