Just don't........2005-03-14
I generally don't go out of my way to write a review, but I had to look these up just to warn others not to purchase them.
I don't think it matters what size your head is, or what kind of music you listen to, or what activity you're doing while you wear headphones, these aren't for you.
After 30 minutes or so, these things start to hurt. You re-adjust them, they hurt again 10 minutes later. Heaven forbid you should try running, they constantly fall down the back of your neck.
And it's not like I didn't give these a chance. I used them for almost two months (I spent enough money on them I really wanted them to work out!), and they did start to feel more comfortable toward the end, but then they also wouldn't stay on my head at all because they had lost a lot of the 'spring' that was causing the discomfort when they were new.
The only redeeming quality is the case which is genuinely well engineered. It is so well made that the OYOYO case now holds my new pair of Philips over-the-ear headphones.
If you do decide to buy these, don't say you weren't warned.
Very Uncomfortable & Awkard.......2005-02-17
I expected more from an Altec Lansing product. I was very disappointed that they were so awkward and uncomfortable on my head. As the other reviews have said, the sound quality is poor and they pop off my head if I try to wear them at the gym. Basically, I tried wearing them for 2 days but ended up returning them (paying for shipping of course) and buying a better made product for the same price.
doesnt fit my big head.......2005-01-26
Deccent sound at modest volumes but a mess at higher volumes, particularly the base. What's worse however is the fit, they pop off at any movement and dont block out ambient noise-not very useful at the gym for example. Altec can do better.
Doesn't fit my small head.......2005-01-14
As other reviews have said, the bass sucks, but my biggest issue is that they are not adjustable for size, and they keep slipping off my ears because of the flexible nature of the design; especially when I'm on the treadmill, I can't keep them over my ears.
I still own my old pair of Sony over-the-ear headphones, and I thought the Oyoyos would be a good replacement, but now I have to use the Sonys at the gym and the Oyoyos on the train.
Good...Until they Break.......2005-01-05
These have been nice headphones until recently...because of there simple and light design, they broke on me (the left speaker was crushed). Just to make sure (because they are pointless now) i tested the strength on the other speaker, and it gave way easily...Don't EVER put these in an bag, which is anoying because i use headphones a lot and put them in a bag (backpack) when i'm done.
As for when I did have the phones, the treble was extreme and crisp, but for the bass i had to turn it up on the equalizer in my Sony Walkman, to hear any bass.

Great Job!.......2006-04-25
The iSkin does an amazing job of protecting the iPod. I was so concerned about my iPod getting scratched up that I waited to buy one. When I finally took the plunge, I went with this cover. It's been incredible. The use of my iPod is not the least bit diminished, and it is so well protected!!

Good for the money if not using HDMI Input.......2007-12-11
I purchased this product a few weeks ago at a retail store for three reasons: (1) it had an HDMI input for my HD Tivo, (2) it was XM ready and (3) it had an iPod cable hookup. Unfortunately, the HDMI input worked for about a week and then I started having problems with my Tivo working through the input. It worked fine if I hooked it directly to the TV. I updated the Samsung firmware, but that did not help. I am likely going to return the home theater system and try something else. Otherwise, the upconvert DVD player worked well, the sound for movies, XM radio, and CDs was solid, but there was not much in the way of changing the audio settings and controlling the subwoofer. For some reason, there is also not AM available. For $300, I guess I should not expect much.
Excellent when works, breaks easily!.......2007-12-08
I have been happily using this home theatre for 2 weeks. After each movie, I would think "totally worth it!", with a big grin on my face. The sound is excellent. But tonight, I inserted a VCD and the system did not like it. When I ejected the tray to remove the CD, the tray came out withot the CD on it! It never close again. The tray is kind of loose now. I will return the system tomorrow. Might buy a new one again. It is still worth it.
Awesome!.......2007-12-07
I got this HTS together with the SW-3000 wireless module for the rear speakers and was a perfect fit for my needs.
I got it installed in about an hour and delivers an awesome sound. I used two HDMI cables between my Samsung 46" LCD and the satellite receiver. I have a PS2 connected to it using the Aux inputs, too. I didn't experience ANY technical problem playing all types of DVDs and CDs (and hope I won't).
I'm sure there are way better (and expensiver!) systems in the market but, again, this was a perfect fit for me... I couldn't ask for more.
I saw Transformers and Spider Man III a few days ago and Dolby 5.1 makes you jump from the couch!!! Put an old Pavarotti DVD (surround mode) the other day and the power and sound quality just made me cry...
I highly recommend the wireless system for the rear speakers; for an extra 100 bucks you will avoid the hassle of cabling. My family room connects with the kitchen so I put the rear speakers over the upper cabinets... and it was a perfect lay out (measures) to get the best sound.
I also recommend you make some research on sound systems (dolby, dolby 5.1, 7.1, etc..., get your room measures, and check for speakers lay out recommendations before you buy anything. It's all in the web.
Summary: Awesome out-the-box Home Theather System!!! I couldn't be happier!!!
Very Disappointing.......2007-11-29
When the system was 1st set up, a hissing sound was observed in the front 2 speakers, even after all connections were double checked. Front and back speaker wires were switched and the hissing moved to the back speakers. Several DVD's, that played OK in other players, resulted in very poor picture and sound quality, i.e. picture and sound kept breaking up. This continued to occur even after the DVD's were cleaned. In addition, when the audio from the TV was connected to home theater system only static was heard through the surround sound speakers. After contacting Samsung directly with these problems they concluded the unit was faulty and said they would send a shipping label to return just the amp/dvd player for repair. When I did not receive the return label after waiting a week, I re-contacted them and found out that nothing had been initiated. Frustrated at this point, I decided to return the complete unit to Amazon and will look for a different brand Home Theater unit. This is the 1st Samsung product I have purchase and will probably be the last.
Great product! Great sound!.......2007-10-18
This is my first surround sound home theatre system. I'm really enjoying it. Sounded great with my new copy of the Transformers DVD and was able to reproduce some of the knee shaking sounds that I loved in the movie theatre for Transformers. Great product!

Great stands!.......2007-02-15
Stands came in perfect condition, easy assembly, and good finish. Quite sturdy as well.
Good quality for the price.......2006-08-22
The construction is of good quality, although the top plate spikes are really hard to put in place. Careful for not damaging the MDF plate. Overall look is high quality.
