I am very pleased with the case itself. The click wheel cover is extremely well designed and the case fits snuggly around my iPod. The plastic cover which comes with the case could use some serious help. I was able to get it on with somewhat minimal bubbles, well enough to where I could see the screen anyway.

Bose is like a gourmet restaurant - small tasty portions but hefty price tag. If you want to have your stomach filled, you have to pay a lot!

The speakers had sound separation and was clear, but that was about it. There were almost no features after that. To get more features, you have to pay double the price for one of the entry level Lifestyle systems!

It was not surround sound as claimed. My wife felt it sounded thin; though I thought the sound was clear.

We returned it to the store and bought a Sony Bravia HDX 501 instead (for half the price of this Bose), which we are very happy with.

I have not had one single problem. I dont even have my speakers set up like they suggest and the sound is awesome. Some people have talked about DVD door not opening but nothing here. I am still blown away these little speakers pack such a huge sound. Is it as good as a 5 speaker system that would cost more? No, duh. This system takes 5 minutes to set up and is super user friendly. Sounds exactly like it did in the store. Very happy, buy it if you are thinking about it.

This system is not worth $900. The sound does not fill the room like a true surround sound system should. Disc always get stuck in system you need to unplug it and plug it in again for the tray to open, and half way through a movie it will stop and say "can't read disc". save your money, I brought a less expensive system too replace it and I am very happy.

My Bose Experience..........2007-11-22

I read the other reviews here and thought I would add my experience to the mix.
I did not purchase my BOSE 321 GS Series II system through Amazon, but purchased it for $999 through the BOSE TV Informercial.

I chose that route because they divided my payments into 12months. I also got free shipping, I got the 30day free trial, and I got free return shipping paid for by Bose. So I thought, why not give it a try?

I do not have cable, TIVO, or any tv/cable subscription, so my set up was not complex, other than my existing VCR and DVD players. I do however have a brand new Samsung 42" Plasma. I thought I deserved some good sound quality - never having bought anytype of home theatre equipment.

My BOSE arrived within a few days right to my doorstep. I unpacked everything and followed the easy directions and found that one of my audio ports on my TV was already taken up by another plug. I called BOSE and the cusomer service guy was super helpful. He told me to puchase a component media cable, which would work better than the cable BOSE supplied. He told me not to spend more than $15 cuz it wouldn't buy any better of a sound experience. So I found one at Target for $7.

Although I'm a sound engineer for live music, I don't spend any money on home equipment. I think this system is quite good, but I don't have a lot to compare it with. That's why I gave it a 4 out of 5.

It is pricey, and I'm not certain what kind of sound quality I could purchase for $999. I did also buy the warranty.

I use my system all the time.
I use home made CD's in it, Netflix CD's, the radio. I notice that the lo-end bass decibles are excellent. In fact, I'm often caught off guard listening to commercials for I hear all the bass rumblings. In fact, my trial run DVD was SpiderMan III. While I was watching, I was putting a spoonful of cereal in my mouth when the special FX kicked in, I jumped, spilling cereal and milk all over myself. It was pretty funny.

I've not had any troubles with the CD tray or with overheating, as some of the other reviews report. To the contrary, if I had, BOSE would have replaced it immediately. The plugs are however not designed with the snuggest fit, as reported by another reviewer. Mine have never come out or fallen loose, though.

Seriously, I really like my system, but I wonder if I could get something comparable for a better price.

I do feel very comforted by the BOSE guarantee, and so I think I will be keeping my system (I've had it for 3 weeks now).

I bought this system for my bedroom to get better sound than was produced by the little speakers built into the TV. I was looking for a system that offered good sound quality, a DVD player and would provide a surround experience using a minimum amount of space. I did not want speakers in back since it was hard enough to get my wife to agree to put any speakers at all in the bedroom. This is a very compact system that offers great sound for what you see. I also have a full blown home theater set-up in my family room that cost many thousands of dollars and provides even better sound than a movie theater. The Bose 3.2.1 is not that kind of system and does not pretend to be. It is an excellent system with two very small speakers and a sub-woofer that only has a dvd/cd player to power it. I would buy it again.
