Customer Reviews:
Very nice headphones.......2007-12-24
I just received my MX55V and I am impressed. The twist to fit system creates a nice snug fit. The sound is great. While working out, one side loosens up a bit, but not to bad. Overall a good value.
Good value.......2007-12-18
I needed an inexpensive pair of replacement headphones for my ipod, so I tried these. I like them, they sound decent and the price is right. The volume control is handy and they fit my ears well. If you are looking for BIG BOTTOM sounding headphone these are not them. I use these at work, so I like headphones that do not block out the outside world. I am not a big fan of super booming bass either, I find these very clear and crisp in the high end. Good, comfortable headphones at a low cost.
great fit... secure... but heavy on the bass..........2007-11-30
they stay secure... they have no clip to secure cord to your shirt...
sound is a bit heavy on the bassy side... high range is a little lacking...
volume slider control on the cord is convient...
good but not great.......2007-11-27
When you find the perfect match (with the included rubbers) for your ears, these phones surely stay put! When I'm walking or running this fellas doesn't fall down, as opposed to normal earbuds.
The good points include the appropriate cord lenght, the volume control, the good fit, and the sound in the range of mids and highs. The bad (and killing) point is that the promised "bass boost" is almost non-existant, you must force the phones very hard into your ears to hear some good bass. If you don't mind the lack of bass, these are very good, and with the discount, it's a sure buy. But I suppose the quest for perfect phones goes on ...
Looking for Headphones to run with? These ARE NOT them.......2007-11-12
For whatever reason, normal 'ear bud' style headphones won't stay in my ears when i'm in motion. They tend fall out with the slightest movement, much less when I'm running. And since I enjoy listening to music when i'm working out, this has always been a little bit of an issue. So i was intrigued when i saw these Sennheisers - usually solid in the field of audio equipt - with 'twist-to-fit' plugs. Well, while the twist-in phones work okay - they do deliver what they promise in the sense that they WILL stay in your ear (although to do so, they have to be sort of wedged in, and can quickly become uncomfortable, not to mention they can create a sort of 'vacuum lock' seal over your ear canal...uggh) - but the other - sp. cable - aspect of the phones are TERRIBLY DESIGNED. After the cable splits, the length to your L&R ears is uneven - leaving you with a long and a short side??? Which might be practical if your ipod was say, being held parallel to your head like 10 feet away to one side and you really needed all of that extra foot of cable on one side. In a normal situation, however, it just hangs absurdly - this big loop under your chin - and tries to find a way to wrap itself around your neck. That's one issue. The other is that the entire length of the cable is way, WAY too long, to the point of being ridiculous. So now you've got to try and wrap all this extra cable around your ipod or whatever - which isn't really practical. And every time i try to put the damn thing away, this 5 foot freaking cable gets all tangled with the little rubber stoppers on the earphones and becomes like a rat's nest...uggh. I don't get it - all i wanted was the twist-in phones - leave everything else the same and don't try to re-invent the wheel here. But then some genius had to go and kind of ruin it by trying to get funky with some other design modifications - on the cable of all things...Anyway, packaged with some extra pieces so you can 'customize' your phones, but they are essentially aesthetic BS and don't actually have any real effect on the performance in any way.
