Finally I can see my XM radio.......2007-09-30

When I got a new vehicle, the air conditioner vent mount would not work. I tried the gooseneck mount attached to the seat bolt but I would have to hold the XM radio to see it (too much shaking). The Belkin TuneDok is the answer to my woes. The mount is stable and easy to use. I have a Pioneer Inno.

Very happy with this purchase. I was able to place it in a shallow cupholder between my dash and gear shift for easy access and have greatly enjoyed being able to access my XM Roady XT in this way. I just wish there were more options on the depth/width of the holders - I currently have the base sitting within the shallower cup and it works fine, but still a bit loose.

Excellent Product... for the Right Cars.......2007-03-08

I purchased the TuneDok because I didn't want to physically attach anything to the interior of my car. Because my car's cup holders are located between the front seats as opposed to being closer to the dash, the location isn't that great. However, it's much better than keeping my XM receiver on the passenger seat. I would definitely recommend this product.

Works just like it looks.......2007-01-05

This is a great product. I didn't want to mess with the vent clips or with adhesives, etc. Cars today come with so many cup holders, that you might as well use them for something. I have one of these tunedoks in each of my cars and they work great. They don't rattle around, and I can adjust the height and angle of the xm recvr (in my case both are samsung Nexii aka Nexus). Highly recommended.

I could have used this in California.......2006-12-22

In California & Minnesota drivers are not allowed to use suction cup devices on the windshield (gps, radar detectors, satellite radio). On a recent business trip to California I had to rely on the vent clips for my Ski Fi 2. They really did no hold well. This would have been a huge improvement. I am definately ordering one for my travel kit.

Home theater may be the rage, but there's no getting around the need for affordable, high-quality music playback, and Sony's STR-DE197 stereo receiver can be a huge help in that department. The integrated amplifier pumps out 100 watts per channel across both its 2 channels and uses discrete output transistors--that is, transistors in place of cheaper and lower-quality integrated-circuit chips--to ensure high-quality music presentations.

The receiver features an FM/AM tuner with 30 station presets (20 FM, 10 AM) and a UniCommander remote control with phosphorescent glow keys for easy access, even in the dark. Separate A and B speaker outputs (stereo left/right) let you listen to the same program across two sets of speakers placed in different parts of the house.

There's no phono input, but the unit's 4 stereo analog audio (left/right RCA) inputs accommodate, for instance, a cassette deck, a VCR, your cable-box outputs, or a DVD player. (Make sure your television has sufficient inputs for the number of video sources whose audio you plan to route through the receiver.) A bass-boost circuit enhances your program's low frequencies for greater musical or cinematic input.

A switched AC outlet lets you plug another device into the receiver, conserving wall sockets and powering up the plugged devices at the same time as the receiver. When the receiver powers on and off, so also will the component plugged into the power outlet, provided you leave its power set to "on." Listening at night? Plug into the receiver's .25-inch headphone jack so you won't wake the family or neighbors.

I had a small budget, so after lots of Internet research chose this Sony receiver. I'm very happy with what I got for what I paid. It's got enough power for any sane listening levels, receives radio stations well, and is devoid of lots of bells and whistles. My only complaint would be not enough fine tuning of bass and treble.

Purchased from a top line retailer, this receiver was one someone else had returned. I don't blame the agent I bot it from. Anyway, it lacked the antenae and the front was scratched and loose. It had to be turned up to fifty to have any volume. Is it really 100 watts? Didn't seem that powerful to me. Be careful with this one.

Home Theater Alternative.......2007-10-29

Purchased the Sony STRDE197 Stereo Receiver to power Polk Audio RC85I In Wall Speakers hooked to a Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U. Did not have room for a full Home Theater set up with the subwoffers however this combo sounds great. If you have limited room or a budget this in not bad alternative. Learning about the other features of the receiver which are easy to use for someone like myself who is not an audiophile.

This amp replaces a top of the line, made in japan w/built in equalizer, hi power, digital display, amplifier. The first thing a buyer needs to do is identify their needs. Don't over buy just for looks or unused power output. This amp is a great buy for the money. I picked it up at BEST BUY, open box for $99.99. I'm 100% satisfied with the sound and performance. The bass is better then my old unit. Buy it, try it, if it doesn't suit your needs, return it.
