Worth the extra $$.......2007-12-14
This may be a bit over the usual price for a $5-$10 USB hub you can find here at Amazon or your local Fry's, but the quality and just great look of the product compensate for any problems. It works flawlessly, even with those pesky external drives that require a 2-1 USB cable to have adequate power. Add to that the extra handy ports on top for thumb drives.
It looks great next to my iPod dock and iMac, remember it's not just Apple that makes cool looking products.
4-port USB hub.......2007-09-29
It does what it's supposed to do. Works great and looks great. I paid for the Belkin name and the fit and finish quality.

4 stars but: Here's why I decided NOT TO BUY this product.......2007-12-29
I love the idea of having my cables organized and also the placement of ports on this product but...
Some investigation on Belkin's website revealed that only 4 of the 7 ports work at the 480Mbps (USB 2.0) speed. (The product user manual says so. 4 stars to Belkin for at least clarifying this! Most manufacturer's seem to happily keep these details fuzzy)
There's another problem I read about in some of the reviews for most USB hubs: Connecting even one USB 1.1 device forces all other USB (1.1/2.0)devices to run at the USB 1.1 speed. This product seems no exception. I am yet to come across a hub that solves this problem.
I have purchased a Cables To Go 7-port USB 2.0 hub. It seemed to have the best reviews and their product description explicitly mentions "7 USB 2.0 ports". I am currently waiting for it in the mail!
some improvement needed!.......2007-12-21
Pros: Top-insert ports and simple design.
Cons: The power adapter is too big. It takes up 2 spaces on the power strip.
Works Great!.......2007-12-16
I have had this now roughly a week, and to test its limits I have kept it on even with my computer off.
Product does generate warmth (very minimal) but allows to charge my phone, and mp3 player even with the computer off. Great little product to keep all of my cords neatly behind the desk, while having the clip to access the more common plugs (ie phone, and mini usb for mp3 player and card reader)
I only wish it came in black!
Kerve.......2007-12-12
Works great. Even looks good on my desk. I especially like the hook to hold my PDA sync cable.
Belkin 7-port USB 2.0 hub.......2007-12-07
The hub has worked flawlessly for me. With 5 ports on the rear of the unit, I can plug in peripherals that I don't often disconnect, like external disks, scanner, and printer. The two ports on top are great for flash drives, cameras, iPods or anything that doesn't stay connected all of the time. The lights on the front of the unit tell you at a glance which ports are in use. The cord storage on the side keeps disconnected cables from falling behind my desk when not plugged in. I highly recommend this hub.

Easy, powerful, does what it promises.......2007-12-25
I recently upgraded from a Sony AV-3000, and the experience of the Logitech Harmony 670 was a delight. The Sony wasted hours of my time with its obscure user interface, while the Logitech software just worked.
Our system includes a Replay TV box, which was at the distance limits of other remote controllers, but the Logitech controls it fine, and programming the Harmony's keys for the functionality of the Replay went smoothly.
The on/off state memory of the Harmony solved the problem of controlling devices never designed to work in a system. It would be great if the device manufacturers had programming functionality that comprehended their devices would work in a system, and made them easy to control. But I guess achieving world peace would be easier than getting good user interfaces from the consumer electronics manufacturers...
This is a terrific device!
great remote.......2007-12-25
i am pleased with this remote. i really like how the remote turns on all the devices needed for you when you select an activity. i am also pleased that it is able to control my dvd/vcr combo unit.mind you, i only got this today, and setup was a breeze. i think i'll go put it to use now.
Harmony 670.......2007-12-22
Easy to program, works well with all my equipment, very pleased with product and with price.
The Answer to Our Prayers!.......2007-12-22
I bought this for my husband who was always complaining about the fact that we had to have separate remotes for our TV monitor, DVD/audio system, VCR, and Direct TV DVR. This thing really works! At first I was upset because the CD that came with the remote would not work on my computer but I went to the website and downloaded the setup. The set up walks you through everything. All you need is make and model for your equipment. I'm a techno-dummy and this was so simple!!!!!
Skeptical at first.......2007-12-18
I have to admit, when I purchased this remote I was a bit skeptical at first. I was particularly concerned with the activity based function which turned things on and off. Since much of my equipment only has an on/off toggle, this thing is constantly going to get out of sync with the real world. All I needed was one of the kids hitting a power switch instead of doing everything with the remote. I bought this thing to simplify life for the rest of the family - but was I only adding a new frustration?
So I got the new beast into the house and prepared for the complex software setup (this expectation was set by the other reviews). To my surprise the initial setup was easier than I expected. After 15 minutes I had all the basics in place and things generally worked OK. Over the next week, I tweaked the configuration a ton more times and started to really get a feel for how this was designed. The good news is that the Logitech database for my devices had commands defined that were not available on the manufacturers remote. For example, many of my devices had IR commands for turning a device On specifically, instead of the On/Off toggle which the original remote had. That pretty much solved any problems with devices getting out of sync with the real world.
In the end, I found that I could configure this device to do just about anything with my equipment. I read the reviews that said it would not work with certain equipment and I would contend that the people experiencing this did not play with the configs enough. The Logitech documentation is either non-existent or very bad when it does exist, so you must "discover" how this device works through trial and error.
I gave this device 5 stars because it exceeded my high expectations and was able to do more than I wanted (and yes I truly only use one controller today). The IR signal is VERY strong and I can point the controlled in almost any direction and it still accurately controls the devices which are all in a closed cabinet with glass doors. As I mentioned earlier, the documentation is bad and it takes a bit to get accustomed to how Logitech designed their software. Also, I would like to see a few more additions to their software to make things easier, but these are minor complaints.
