Combines or separates satellite and antenna signals into one signal
Amazon.com Product Description
If you're already a satellite TV subscriber and you need to run a new cable through the walls for an additional cable connection, surveillance camera or other source, the Zenith ZDS-5004 Satellite Diplexer can save you a lot of time. The ZDS-5004 can send off-air television signals, cable TV or surveillance camera feeds to your TV using the same cable that already connects your satellite receiver to the dish -- without adversely impacting your satellite TV reception. In other words, this diplexer allows you to use two antennas over the same cable, keeping you from having to bring yet another cable into you house.
Simply connect your surveillance camera, off-air antenna or incoming cable to one of the diplexer inputs, connect the other to your satellite dish, and it will combine the two signals onto the same cable. Then connect another diplexer at the receiving end (that is, at your television), and the signal will be split again, without any loss of signal strength. Using this diplexer instead of running new cable into your home will save you hours of installation time.

Zenith ZDS-5005 Satellite Diplexer.......2005-10-08
I needed to use one cable for Direct TV Satellite and send a signal to my wifes Television in her work room so she could view Satellite T.V. It is very hard to run any further cables down to my main T.V. entertainment center so I bought two of these units. I figured the Antenna input/output jack on the Diplexer would work with the Satellite Receivers T.V. RF output jack because they are the same frequency and type signal.
I connected a short cable coming from the Satellite dish to the Diplexer and mounted it in the attic. On the other side of the Diplexer I then connected the to the cable that originally ran to the dish from the receiver. I put a second diplexer on the other end of the cable to the Satellite Receiver for Direct T.V.
So basically you have one diplexer in the attic with a cable to the Dish and a cable to the wifes T.V.
Short list of connections:
Diplexer in Attic:
a. connect short cable from Dish to Satellite input
b. connect cable from secondary T.V. to Attenna input/output
c. connect original cable that went from Dish to Receiver into the jack on the opposite side of Diplexer
Diplexer in Entertainment Center.
a. Connect Original Cable that went from Dish to Receiver into the Side of the Diplexer with Single Satellite Jack.
b. Connect short cable from Satellite output of Diplexer to the Satellite Receiver Dish input.
C. connect a short cable from the Diplexer Antenna Input/Output to the RF T.V. signal output jack of the Satellite Receiver.
The signal is exceptional and you cannot see any noticable signal degragation. These are an exceptional product at a decent price.
Works like a charm.......2005-08-02
Worked well for me, however it is much larger than the cheaper diplexers. I used two of them to split the Sat-in and out-to-TV on my DSS reciever thru the same cable to back feed other TV's in my home. Sounds confusing but worked perfect.

Works, easy to use, minor problems.......2007-04-29
I've owned this recorder for over a year. It's worked well through that time, recording over 250 DVDs. I've recorded broadcast shows, copied from tape to disk, and created disks from camcorder tapes using the firewire (DV) port.
A nice feature of this recorder is that the recording times are a bit longer than the number of hours specified. The highest quality does about 1:04, the next 2:04, etc. up to 8 hours on a disk. This lets you setup a timer a couple minutes before the hour and record a couple minutes over so that if the network's time is a bit off the DVD recorder's time the start or end of the show isn't lost.
Quality has been good, appearing equivalent to what I see on the TV. I've recorded a couple 6 and 8 hour disks and they also look ok, the picture quality still looking good.
The only problem is the unit occasionally locks up and needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to reset it. This has happened perhaps once a month, without an obvious pattern. I lost a couple disks from a locked up recorder, but it's been a minor annoyance.
The other annoyance is that there is a list of about 8 brands compatible of 16X DVDs. I found the recorder works with generic 8X DVD-R disks but have only been able to use the listed 16X disks. Since it's getting hard to find anything but 16X disks, buy from the list. I generally do a throwaway recording on a new brand to be sure there will be no problems.
The on-screen menus are fairly intuitive, I haven't needed to use the manual much. A TV set to channel 3 can be used to play DVDs or tapes, unlike some recorders which require 3 wire video to watch a DVD. Having a TV where it's hard to switch between RF and video inputs, this is a plus.

Nice looking, sturdy rack..........2007-01-09
This rack is easy to assemble and has capability of adding more shelves. I added another 9 inch shelf and the optional casters to make it easier to move around. One of the better racks out there for the price i'd say.
A perfect fit.......2005-10-01
We needed sturdy, attractive shelves to hold our radio receiver, DVD player, DirectV receiver and speaker switch box in a spot next to our TV. This 4 shelf system is easy to assemble, and can be adjusted for the height of your location. We only used 3 shelves. It looks great, and seems to be very adequate to hold the components. The price was excellent; after I did an extensive search for something to hold all the boxes on the internet and in local stores, this was definitely the best choice, and very reasonable. Delivery was quick, and fun to watch as it worked its way across the country.
