This wireless print server is NOT compatible with "most USB" printers as advertised. D-Link customer support was a huge disappointment. Save yourself some serious frustration and do not purchase this item.

I BOUGHT THIS ONLINE AND IT SUCKS. WHEN I SET IT UP, IT DIDN'T WORK. I CALLED TECH SUPPORT AND TALKED TO SOMEONE IN MUMBAY INDIA WHO DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT. THEN I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO WORK MYSELF. IT WORKED THE FIRST FEW TIMES, THEN STOPPED WORKING. CONSTANTLY NEEDS TO BE RESET. I HAVE BOUGHT MANY COMPUTER PRODUCTS AND NEVER HAD A MAJOR COMPLAINT, BUT THIS ONE TRULY SUCKS. D-LINK SUPPORT ON THIS SUCKS TOO. STAY AWAY, BUYER BEWARE!!!
Works but with sluggish performance and annoying problems.......2007-02-10
I was able to setup this print server with my lexmark X5150 printer with relative ease but after setting it up in an XP pc, the OS would not detect the printer to be online after reboot. The performance is sluggish.

Many of the 'compatable' printers on the very short list they don't supply except in the bowels of their website aren't manufactured or sold any longer. Tech support recommended E-bay as a source for compatable printers. But it gets WORSE. Many of the printers they claim are compatable no longer have supplies manufactured for them--you can't get ink, toner, replacement parts. . .
It's a piece of JUNK! And D-Link won't support the users who bought the thing.

The server works very well. All the people who have compatibility issues just need to install the driver for the printer on their computer and follow instructions!! Very easy set up and works great.

This rugged phone is designed to win the hearts of construction and utilities users who demand durability and performance. In fact, the i560 adheres to Military Standard 810 F, meaning it performs in dusty environments, stands up to short drops and exposure to vibration from heavy machinery use. In addition to toughness, the i560 supports features like compatibility with Nextel's Direct Talk technology, voice dialing, GPS location technology and a speakerphone.
Design
The i560's clamshell form factor sports a 130 x 130 TFT color display. Meanwhile, the outside cover of the handset features a supplementary, monochrome display that displays call information. The speakerphone unit is located on the rear of the phone, while the trademark Direct Connect and menu scrolling functions can be controlled from the side of the phone. The phone's control pad features a five-way button that can control most of the phone's functions, and there's also a 2.5-millimeter headset jack for connecting a hands-free headset.
Calling Features
The i560's built-in address book can store up to 600 contacts for quick and easy management of phone numbers and email addresses. The phone comes with built-in polyphonic ringtones plus a vibrating alert, and more ringtones can be added via download from the Nextel Online service. Custom ringtones in MIDI and WAV format can also be used. The i560's voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names, while a built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear. And if you have an emergency, the i560's GPS location technology pinpoints your exact location when you dial 911.
One of the key features of any Nextel phone is support for Nextel's Direct Connect walkie-talkie technology. The i560 fully supports the service, which allows for one-touch conversations with anyone else on a Nextel phone, or with entire groups of Direct Connect users. It's like a having a CB radio with enough range to cover all of North America, Canada and Latin America. With the i560's powerful Direct Talk function you can also communicate in walkie-talkie mode when you're not connected to the network. The system works anywhere, anytime between compatible phones within a range of up to 6 miles (range will vary based on terrain and conditions). Direct Talk provides a reliable back-up communications tool in times of emergency, network outage, or when traveling to remote areas not under Nextel coverage. And last but not least, the i560 features a walkie-talkie private speaker button. This switches from the external speaker to the earpiece for private conversations or to minimize disruptions in quiet environments.
Messaging, Internet and Tools
The i560 features MMS-based support for mobile-to-mobile or mobile-to-email text, image and audio messaging. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit -- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users. Getting on the Internet anywhere is easy with the i560, as well. Nextel's optional Nextel Online package allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Nextel Online also features games, ringtones, realtime news and sports updates, virtual address books, and more-- all delivered to your Nextel phone. Also, because the i560 is GPS-enabled, you can use Nextel's location-based safety services like Mobile Locator, which allows you to locate a friend or family member's phone location at anytime, right from your computer. The i560's "Airplane Mode" allows you to turn off your network connection and use programs, games and voice recording while you're in flight. And finally, the i560 ships with a calendar, a voice memo application and a time and date clock.
Entertainment
The i560 is packed with a number of Java applications. TeleNav for audible driving directions is included, as is Trimble Outdoors (both require a subscription). Preloaded games include demo versions of Space Invaders and Tetris. More game downloads are available via the Nextel Online service.

This is probably the worst cell phone I've ever had. It may look nice, but it's highly unreliable and the sound quality is horrific. Not sure if it's an OS problem but the thing likes to randomly shut down and re-boot itself, often during use. Plus it likes to prompt me to "insert SIM" forcing me to power it off and on again. The sound is terrible, often people sound like they are slurring their speech and others have reported hearing the same from me. And don't be fooled by it's "rugged design". It's just cheap plastic. AS a nextel it's fine, but as a cell phone it's crap. Look elsewhere.
rugged phone with some nice features.......2007-09-30
Just wanted to reiterate others' comments about the ruggedness of the i560. I've had mine for about a year and a half, have watched it skate across floors and parking lots (oops), and it still functions as when it was new - both good and bad. Fortunately the good qualities outnumber the bad (really just the crappy-sounding external speaker, and the fact that the color display is all but unreadable in the daylight). Otherwise it has been a very reliable phone for me. The DC is indispensable and I love the way it recharges quickly.
Go for the i580.......2007-06-15
If you're a Nextel customer and want a durable phone, go with the i580. It's MUCH more durable as the outside is lined with thick rubber, and the battery door has rubber around the edges to help keep dust/sand or a bit of water out (splash). The prices are the same, yet the i580 is newer than the i560, and for me it's more rugged the i580.
Also the buttons are sealed completely on the i580.

I have had good luck with reception and functionality but the phone is not rugged at all.. I dropped this twice. the first time the clip that holds the back on broke and now I have it held together with electrical tape. The second drop caused the antenna (closed at the time) to shoot out fo the phone and 8 feet across the room.. This phone does not live up to the rugged standard as advertised.

Worst phone ever. Ever. I had my mic replaced seven times in the first two months of owning it. Then my boyfriend's broke, and he went to have it fixed. Phone must have been sent damaged, they said they would not fix it or take it back because the inside was dented. We never used it. Antenna broke in just six months. Too heavy. Wayy too many dropped calls, robot voices and Call errors. Phone randomly goes out of service when you're not even moving. Go back to the i530; there's a rugged phone. I'm finally cancelling Nextel, its worth the $400 fee. I'm moving on to Cingulair.
