Product Description
The versatile Wireless Ethernet Bridge can make any wired Ethernet-equipped device a part of your wireless network. At home, use the Wireless Ethernet Bridge to connect game consoles, set-top boxes, or computers into your wireless network to share your high-speed network connection. In the office, convert your Ethernet-wired printer, scanner, camera, notebook or desktop into a wireless networked device. It's completely driver-free, so it works on any platform and under any operating system! Since there are no drivers to load, setup is a snap - just plug it into your device and configure the network settings through your web browser. You can also use the Wireless Ethernet Bridge as a kind of "cable-less cable" to connect remote areas together. Maybe Shipping is all the way across the warehouse from Receiving. Or maybe you want to set up a home office in your detached garage. With a Wireless Ethernet Bridge in the garage, and another one (or a Wireless Access Point) in the house, you're connected - with no cabling hassle.

Wireless networks are rapidly becoming more popular and coming down in price. Since they don't require cables, you can use the devices anywhere in an office or home, even out on the patio. There's no need to roll out an Ethernet network cable to each room of a house; you can network anywhere--without wires. Outside the home, wireless networking is available in hotspots at coffee shops, businesses, and airports--great when you're on the road and need to get some work done. For convenience, wireless networking is the answer.
Which Wireless Standard Is Right for Me?
Now that you've decided to create a wireless network, the next step is to figure out which wireless standard to use.
Basically, a standard is a set of specifications for a device. All devices that follow a specific standard share operating characteristics, such as the radio frequency used and maximum data transfer speed.
For wireless networking, there are three standards to choose from at this time:

Customer Reviews:
Great little unit; Instructions weren't worded great.......2007-12-26
I bought this product to be able to make my Dell laser printer operate wirelessly. It works flawlessly.
However, my misunderstanding of the instructions made getting it working initially a little frustrating. I am a pretty savvy computer guy and I got thrown a curve setting it up. Don't get me wrong and don't be afraid that it's difficult to setup... it's not.
There's a switch on the back of the unit that can be switched to "X" or "II". When you setup the unit you have to use "II" (I believe) but when you want the thing (printer, etc) that you plug into the unit to function wirelessly, you then have to go and flip that switch over to "X" and leave it in the "X" position. I never switched it to "X" and my printer wouldn't work. I called support at Linksys and they weren't really any help. Finally I figured it out on my own. As soon as I switched it to "X" my printer worked. So... just be aware of that and you can't go wrong.
The only potential downside is that it only supports WEP security encryption, which is apparently very easy to hack into if there's someone who is intent on cracking into your network. If you have a wireless network and are using WPA or greater, then this unit will present a problem I suppose as it only supports WEP. So check your router security settings and decide accordingly.
If you need the WPA security you'll need the Linksys WET54G which appears to be the successor to this model. It'll cost about twice what this unit costs.
All in all, I am thrilled with the unit. It functions very well for what it's intended for and allowed me to NOT have to re-run ethernet wires to a precarious location in my office.
Rock Solid For 4 Years.......2007-08-02
You don't need the WET54G unless you are doing high end video or gaming. This is great for PC-PC and PC-Printer. I have had one for 4 years and it has been a champ. Bought another one so I wouldn't have to listen to my printer humm and warm up my office (moved it to the next room).
Perfect tool for some.......2007-07-07
If you have a wireless router and need to connect wired devices at a distance, without running a long cable, this product provides the answer--maybe the only answer. It has an antenna to connect to the wireless router and a LAN port that behaves like one of the wired LAN ports of the router. You can connect a single device such as a printer or computer, or you can connect another router or switch and create a local wired network extension to which you can connect multiple wired devices. Given the street price of multi-function routers, the price of this wireless bridge is higher than I'd expect, but I figure that's likely because the volume of production is much smaller. I gave it four stars rather than five because setting it up is a little tricky, but once it is properly configured, it works very well.
Simple and Quick.......2007-04-25
Very simple and easy to use.
I'm using it at the house right now, but I plan on putting it on the boat soon to get internet down below. Great product, easy to use and was just what I was looking for.
It is possible to set it up to Automatically connect to any open access point within range. Simply set it to DHCP and set the SSID to "any" and forget about it, when something open is in range you connect, when there isn't well it just keeps looking. Should be perfect for the boat.
Accessories.......2007-02-01
Apparently, this product was shipped 'used' meaning that it did not come with a disk, instruction manual or cable. I returned it. I still don't know if I got my money back for it, including postage. My advice is to go to a store for computer accessories, it can easily be exchanged or returned. The wireless router that I ordered in conjuction with this from a different vendor was easily handled, no questions asked. They gave me a credit right away.

So Far So Good.......2007-12-11
I purchased the Sanus TV mount for my 42 Panasonic Plasma which was being mounted directly onto a brick fireplace. I used 8 concrete wall anchors purchased at home depot to keep it up and in place. 4 weeks later its still hanging.
The mount was easy to put together and does a good job of articulating in enough directions to get a good view of the T.V from anywhere in the room. I would use this mount again if I had to do it all over.

Sanus VMAA18 Articulating Mount -this mount does not accomodate consumer reports #1 rated plasma hdtv [panasonic th-50pz700u]. the tv has a bump out that prevents mounting unless you purchase extra hardware.
Sanus VMAA18 Articulating Mount for 30"-50" Flat Panel TVs - Black .......2007-11-05
Absolutely awesome wall mount. The mount is sturdy and reliable. It was recently put to the test in a 5.6 earthquake (centered out of San Jose). The mount rotates left and right and swings out a good 12". The only draw back, as with many mounts, is that you need two people to hang the TV. It took two of us about 1 1/2 hours to hang this badboy. All of the wires are hidden behind the wall and the TV looks great hanging on the wall. Highly recommend.
Sanus VMAA18 review.......2007-10-24
Totaly satisfied with the SANUS VMAA18 wall mount.
The wall mount is very well made and was very easy to install.
GREAT BRACKET, BUT CHECK IT OUT.......2007-10-08
This bracket was fairly easy to install for a non-techy and non-handyman. The wall mount part could have been longer to better align with the studs. Also, with my new Samsung 4661F, the bracket bar that mounts to the TV goes right over the bottom third of the "hole" on the back of the TV that contains the input jacks. I just about had a stroke when I discovered this but the cables were flexible enough that it worked. Who's to blame for that? TV manufacturer or bracket manufacturer? Mainly me for not checking it out better. Again, it worked but it was a close call. Tilt, maneuverability left/right work great. It will not spin from horizontal to vertical, not that this was a big deal. The black version (that I bought) was cheaper than a stainless steel-looking variety from the same manufacturer. Buying it from Amazon was by far the best deal.
