This earbuds are as cute as could be, sound great, and are durable, but are very, very uncomfortable. I can only wear mine for about a half hour before they begin to hurt and after an hour I have to take them out---then that's it for the whole day. They are a somewhat soft rubber on the outside but the inside is hard plastic; they are comparable in quality to the earbuds that come with iPod nanos. For the price they are adequate, but you can spend about the same or a bit more and get earbuds that are all this and that you can wear for longer as well.
I ended up buying some "Koss "The Plug" Portable Headphones" for under $20 and can wear them all day; I would recommend something like this instead.
I do like the colors that these earbuds come in, but they are more than an accessory for me and have to be usable as well. The sound quality is just fine for a cheaper ear bud---no complaints here.
Mine often fall out because they do not change their shape to accommodate your ear; your ear must change shape to fit this earbud, hence the discomfort.

well they were good head phones but once i had them for about 6 months the little gray part, that covers the buds, had fallen out. it had fallen out about three times before i had lost it.

I really like these, they are comfortable and seem to deliver very acceptable sound for my needs. Also they are very affordable.

My first complaint out of the box with these headphones was the smell of the rubber. They smelled like rotton meat!
My main complaint is the fit of the ear buds themselves. They do not fit properly in my ears and constantly fall out. If I try to re-position them for fit, they hurt my ears.
Sound-wise they do fine for the podcasts I listen to.
Overall, avoid these like the plague!

Yesterday, I bought this item based on the 4 to 5 star reviews here and elsewhere. Unfortunately, this product was a disappointment. It doesn't deliver much bass or treble, and like the other reviewers have said, it's a nice look, but your ears will get sore after they are used for a short period of time.
Luckily, I was able to take them back and get a refund. To go with the pink iPod nano, I recently bought a pair of Sony Pink earbuds (10LPPI) and not only are they confortable, they deliver a nice sound for a cheap price. For the time being, I am going back to them and the Philips behind the neck headphones.
JVC can do better.
