Mouse Trouble.......2004-07-17
This KVM works as expected except for two problems. Sometimes the mouse will stop working for me as if I was to unplug and the replug the mouse from the machine. I guess there is a slight glitch in the electrical connection when the KVM switches between computers. It's really annoying because when this happens you must reboot the computer to get the mouse functionality back. Also, this KVM beeps a couple of times when you switch between computers. I have not been able to turn this feature off and I would rather just have a silent KVM switch. But, it isn't a complete piece of crap. Most of the time it does it's job ok.
Also note that the KVM does not come with a power supply. Theoretically it can draw all of it's power from the PS/2 keyboard connection of the computers. But, in practice I've found that not all computers are able to deliver enough power. You may have to buy a 5V-9V DC power adapter of your own, I did.

good for mp3, mediocre for telephone.......2007-12-05
My friends complained when I used this as a phone headset. I could hear fine, but they didn't like the call quality.
Great unit in a unique package.......2007-11-29
I've used this with two phones now, and it works well with both. My current is the LG VX8350 and it connects and works with no problem. The stereo sound is great and the earbuds are very comfortable. The charger is light (contrary to a previous reviewer) but its always a hassle to carry a charger. The unit lives up to the 6 hour talk time (about the same for music listening) so I can't complain even though I wish for a longer battery life. There are more than 6 hours in my days.
Connection problems.......2007-10-08
Paired it with SonyE. W710 with no problem. Sound quality is pretty good. Not as good as the wired headset but good enough. Battery is good, at least 5 hours. The earbuds would fall if you don't wear them over the ear. The biggest problem is that if my phone is not in my shirt pocket at least 3 inches from the pendant, like say in my pants pocket, it will be nearly impossible to listen to the streamed music. It keeps losing the signal if there's anything in between the phone and the headset pendant. I'm not sure if it's my phone or the headset but I have a S.E. W710 walkman phone. You think they would work well together.
Not satisfied, at all........2007-09-19
I bought this to use with my LG VX8500 because I was sick of dealing with over six feet of wires, with jack adapter and the actual headset, to
just listen to my music.
My first complaint is about the battery. It does not last for six hours, not even close. In fact the little battery life monitor on the LED screen will, at some point in time, jump from being 3/4 full to having enough juice left for five minutes.
Second, the whole necklace design is awkward. Quite often the strings attached to the earbuds will get tangled underneath the thread the forms the necklace, this makes it much easier for the buds to fall out of my ears.
In fact that's my next complaint, the ear buds suck. None of the three sizes they sent with the headset would stay in my ears. Just the vibrations of driving on a bumpy road, or walking was enough to knock them loose. This REALLY ticked me off. Nothing I did would make them stay in there, even jamming them into my ear canal. (Which I do not recommend, it drastically increased the pressure in my ear canal and it felt like my ear drum was going to pop.)
Finally, the sound quality is not that great. It's most noticeable on heavily percussive songs because the drums just sound like they're being struck with brushes instead of sticks.
And there's no bass to speak of, none at all. After using this headset even the bass on my car speakers is enough to bother me now, and they're just normal car speakers.
Keeps failing.......2007-08-19
My Sony-Ericson HBH-DS970 has worked fine with my Treo 650 for more than a year now. The problem is it keeps failing. I keep exchanging it under warranty but it's a hassle and I'd like to find something more reliable. I use my headset while riding my bicycle and need something like the DS970 with earbuds. Cans and bike helmets don't mix.
Much of the time, I just leave the earbuds out but set up my Treo to auto-answer on the 2nd ring. All I have to do then to take a call is stick an earbud (either one) in an ear and say "hello" once it picks up.
My only other complaint about the DS970 is that the battery life isn't long enough when I'm listening to music or a book on tape. When I'm on a long trip and won't be jostling the ever so fragile headphone jack on my Treo, I plug in a wired headset. When I can't do that and want to be able to listen on and off throughout the day, I've learned to power down the headset at times when I can just as easily answer the phone without the headset, i.e. when I'm not driving or riding my bike. I really like the way it pauses the music when a call comes in. The music quality is acceptable for what it is.
Tomorrow I'll call and get my DS970 exchanged once again but I need something similar that's more reliable.

Sony HBH-DS970 okay with the right thing.......2007-10-23
I really think that this is a pretty decent unit. I love how the earbuds feel and sound. I ride a motorbike and this worked well in that application especially since I could tuck the microphone at the edge of my helmet and still have good accesss to the turbo button. It was a bit difficult to pair at first, but worked great after I succeeded. It worked great for the phone and not so great with my Katana DLX in phone MP3 player (I blame most of that problem on the MP3 player and its Bluetooth interface). Make sure the unit you are pairing this with is as good of quality as the DS970 or you'll be sorry. I tried it with my son's LG Musiq and it sounded a lot better although it still had a few continuity problems.
Could be better.......2007-03-09
I did like the easy way to connect, not only to pc or to the celular. I wonder if the music quality could be better

Excellent gadget.......2007-11-21
Excellent gadget. I use it with my Sony S500I. Record my music onto a M2 card, and I then plug this device into the mp3 adaptor or auxiliary port on the car stereo and your set to go.
Music sounds good, bluetooth works great!
great for pairing with HP iPaq 6515 Pocket PC phone.......2007-11-21
This device pairs with no problem with the HP iPaq 6515 Pocket PC phone. It comes with various cables for connecting in different situations. You can use it with a cassette adapter to play the sound over your car stereo. You can plug headphones into it. Or, you can connect it to the line-in jacks of your home stereo. Handy gadget to have when you want to serve up some music in many different settings. The sound was a bit rough sounding at some points, possibly due to not being able to adjust the volume for it with the iPaq 6515. This may be a limitation of the cell phone and not the MBR-100. But, it is nice to have in a pinch.
