Really works great. Long run time, good sound, well made. I've got three of them.
Impressive!.......2007-12-26
I have to say this little MP3 player is great. I got this as a Christmas gift instead of the pricier iPod Touch. I was definitely skeptical at first, it seemed small and cheap the last time I looked at it in the iPod Store. Truth be told, I was somewhat depressed that I didn't get the Touch. Well, after opening the box (kudos to Apple for making such neat packaging) I was impressed. It's really sturdy- it's got a good solid feel and some weight to it, and it's very portable. The included charging / syncing base it came with is really neat (what with the grippy bottom and nice long cord). Apple really thought this through and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed.
Oh, by the way- if you care about sound or comfort at all I would recommend that you buy some better headphones. The V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds - Bling Bling Black are great if you listen to a lot of rock.
Older Generation First ipod.......2007-12-26
I am not a young adult who purchased this ipod. This was my first time using any type of ipod. I found it to be perfect and easy to use, an excellant type for a no fuss user. Very compact, fits just about anywhere and easy to place in a pocket, clip onto a pocket. I would recommend this to anyone and I am very pleased with this ipod.
Some disappointment.......2007-12-25
I was disappointed that there was no engraving as advertised ....This was a Xmas gift & I would have been happy to pay extra for it, but was advertised as FREE in large letters!
Didn't work for me.......2007-12-23
I strongly believe Apple is a good product but this is the second one I purchased and both wouldn't hold a charge.

Nice little radio.......2007-12-26
My Sweet Wife got me this radio for Christmas at my request. It is a great little unit that I use in my office. We've got two NPR stations in Salt Lake City, one broadcasts in HD, the other does not. I can definitely hear the difference when listening to the HD broadcast. I also like the multiple feed aspect of the HD signal. I don't want to argue with those who like to bash HD radio, I can only speak to my personal experience with this unit and the HD signal I get in my city. I am using the FM dipole antenna that came with the unit, and I can get a HD signal on 6 stations that broadcast in HD. I am on the second floor of an office building in cubicle land.
A few things do bug me about this unit. There is a huge power inverter on the cord, and the cord is permanently attached to the unit. If you are hoping to feed the cord through a small opening in a desk or run it behind a bookshelf, beware. Also, some of the functions on the radio are accompanied by a beep. This includes changing stations in the preset mode. I usually keep the volume fairly low, but the beep is the same volume regardless. It appears that there is no way to disable this beep. It is fairly innocuous, but it does annoy me. I've read that some people can hear the cooling fan, but mine is extremely quiet.
All in all, I think this is a nice radio that will suit your needs if you choose to ignore the "HD radio is a farce" thread.
Sony HD Radio.......2007-12-26
Only disadvantage is that you must have the antenna just right to receive good HD reception
Awesome Table Radio for the Money.......2007-12-26
I love this radio. It's a great sounding table radio with a small footprint. I've been switching between the HD stations and playing lp's using the line in feature (with an external phono preamp) and the results are very listenable. Beats my Bose 321 for sound quality.
The ONE and ONLY HD radio.......2007-12-21
Sounds great (for you dummys, goto tone and turn on the surround) for a little radio. HD kicks butt. I got this unit for my father, so he can listen to next gen AM radio. I'm buying him the Terk Outdoor antenna (he lives in the country).
Is this a joke?.......2007-12-14
First about appearance, casing may be wood in the core but what you see/touch is a relatively cheap-looking faux wood lacquer. Secondly I tested the demo units at my local Circuit City & Best Buy, and now my personal unit here, all received strong analog FM but one & only one marginal HD channel - which is a classical music station. And in all cases, the white FM wire antennas were attached already. Should I fork out another $100 for a Terk antenna? As for AM HD scan, not a single channel got tuned in. In short, I just bought an overpriced desktop alarm clock radio. Nothing more & nothing less. This one is going back unless I can find a solution to this.
