GPX MW3837 MP3 Player good for the budget minded.......2007-06-12
I bought this little mp3 player from my local department store on sale for $30 and after an extra discount I walked out of the store only paying $25 and some odd change for it. It is fairly easy to hook up and download music once you get past the vague instructions included with it.
It actually is a pretty nice sounding unit for the price, as it surprised me and surpassed my expectations on a much lower priced mp3 player. The blue backlit lcd screen is pretty cool and easy to read without too much glare. The preset equalizer is okay and is like the standard preset equalizers that you get on some portable boomboxes. Another nice feature is the dual mini 1/8 headphone jacks so that you can share the music with a friend which makes this the perfect first mp3 player for your kids! This player claims 15 hours battery life on the rechargeable battery. Well I have to wait and see on that one!
Overall a nice unit for a cheap price but it is no Ipod. Good for the beginner wanting to get a feel for an mp3 player before dishing out the $200 + on an Ipod Nano or regular Ipod.
PROS: Nice small compact size, dual headphone jacks, cool blue backlit lcd display, value priced, decent sound.
CONS: No ac adaptor included (available extra from the GPX website at $15.00 + shipping) so you have to charge the player hooked up to your usb port while the computer is on (about 3 hours to charge), mediocre ear buds (I am not a fan of ear buds as I prefer regular headphones), vague instructions for downloading mp3s to the player, especially for someone unfamilar with the Windows Media Player interface.

2.4GHz Cordless Bedroom Phone
Customer Reviews:
Great idea, HUGE design flaw.......2007-05-04
Having a compact combination clock radio and cordless phone together is a GREAT idea and this GE model certainly looks very nice sitting on the nightstand. The handset feels nicely ergonomic and lightweight, with lighted buttons and display, handy for night time calls, although situating it on the base can be a bit unwieldy due to it only going back in one direction. The radio station preset buttons are a nice touch although pushing on the smaller buttons tends to make the whole unit move. This phone has a really oddball ringtone, kind've a slow, alternating two pitch sound, weird. It has a handy red LED that flickers to let you know you've received a call when your out and the caller ID displayed on both the handset and base is a nice feature. Now to the absolute deal breaker on this phone....the base unit's LCD display. On the highest setting, this thing is so bright it could steer a ship in from the fog! It's like nightlight on steroids, not something you want 10 inches from your head at night lol...there are 3 dimmer settings, the next lowest is better, but still way too bright especially if light bothers you at night, as it does me...the lowest setting is nearly tolerable, but then the numbers and text are so dim you have to squint to see them unless your really close to it. Even on the lowest setting, I have to prop the manual up in front of the display to keep the light out! LCD background light is just not a good idea for a bedside display. If they'd skipped the hip looking blue background lighting, and just used blue, green or red LED's for the numbers and text, this would be so much more practical.
Terrible.......2007-02-22
This item is terrible for the bedroom! It lights up the whole bedroom unless you turn the blue background down and then you can't even see the numbers. It is also very difficult to set the alarm, radio station for the alarm, etc. Not user friendly at all! We will be moving it to a bedroom that is not used. Money wasted.
