The volume is not loud enough and people have a hard time hearing on the other end even when you speak right into it. Spend more money on something that actually works.

Works great for my laptop and compact for travel. Saves money using skype as opposed to cell phone or hotel room fees for phone use.

The device works. You have to talk close to the box (no roaming around the room while talking) in order for the microphone to pick up your voice. Though this is common with virtually all low end microphones. I like it.
Kinda works.......2006-10-21
This device works, but the sounds quality on it is very poor. The speaker is not great and the mic on it is very weak. I turned the volume all the way up on the mic (which they recommend as the default, which tells you something), and still had problems with the volume being to low. On the plus side, the device plugged in and was picked up right away. I tested it with Skype and except for the volume and sound quality issues, it all seemed to work.

It definitely works and was easy to set up but my major problem was that the voice coming out was very tinny and it also was difficult to get it loud enough to properly hear over any background noise (including quite typing). So unless you want to sit in complete silence while using this, I would recommend against.

Stopped working in less than 3 months.......2007-05-31
I ordered this from HP direct. Stopped working after 3 months; very little use. Customer service from HP was terrible. They refused to take it back and wanted me to pay $29 and send it back to them so they could replace it with an old refurbished one. There is no authorized service center closer than 50 miles and I live in the middle of Los Angeles
