Product Description
Crosley's Kettle Classic Desk Phone captures the essence of the classic 1930's European-style telephone. This beauty was originally cast in a heavy-duty metal and then later reconditioned in a lightweight thermoplastic giving it a more stylistic approach and curved design. The Kettle Classic Desk Phone successfully combines industrial technology with design-inspired craftsmanship right down to the classic cloth cord. This "fat style" phone features a substantial "hoof" and true to the original incorporates a mechanical bell in the base.

1 star for appearance only.......2007-06-20
This is a very attractive phone to which I put a lot of effort into finding this style. It's location in my home is one where it is not used very often. In 3 months is was used less than half a dozen times. I was shocked and extremely disappointed to try to answer a call recently and hear nothing on the other end. The other caller was able to hear me. There is no dial tone. Even trying different lines and phone jacks did not help. There is no damage to the phone. I have been trying to contact Northstar but have been unable to get through on the number listed on Amazon or receive a reply via their e-mail contact. Even if I decide to try to have the phone replaced/repaired by the original manufacture, I will be out another $20 for shipping costs they require. This has been a complete waste of money and a total disappointment!
classic phone.......2006-11-07
I have been very disappointed in this phone. I seem to have lost calls. I have been having difficulty with getting dial tones and having conversations suddenly stopped by phone cutting out. The phone looks good but it doesn't operate well and for the price you pay the phone should be good. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Feel like I just wasted away my money.

Stay Away!!!.......2007-09-20
I've had this printer for about 6 months...6 long months(in printer years). I does every thing a printer should not due. Streaky, missing print, colors don't appear on one page(but will on the next), and gets jammed on a regular basis.
Pros...Non Toxic
Poor Quality.......2007-07-15
I've never taken the time to write a review before, but after struggling for 2 hours to get 5 envelopes to print, I've had it! This printer sucks ink, clogs frequently unless it is used almost daily, and has constant paper jams. In short, it's a piece of junk.
I know that this printer was designed for photos and printing on photo paper, but I though it could handle a few envelopes. I shouldn't have bothered. HP's general "envelope printing help" contained such helpful information as "on some printers, you might need to turn the envelopes opposite to the picture to get them to print". Also, (this is verbatim) "Alternatively, cup the end of the envelope in the hand and insert the envelope into the envelope slot, corner first, with the trailing end held slightly to the left. After the envelope corner passes into the slot approximately one to two inches, move the trailing end to the right until the envelope is perpendicular to the printer." SERIOUSLY??? THIS IS HP'S IDEA OF A PRACTICAL SUGGESTION??
I've had similar experiences with the last couple of HP products I've bought, and this will be the last one. Too bad, HPs used make great products.
Piece of garbage.......2007-06-18
This printer is a piece of garbage. It worked ok the first time or two, but after that forget it. Even though it has paper, it won't print and says it's out of paper. It will click and make all sorts of odd noises and if it does grab a sheet in the feeder it will often grab multiple sheets and jam. On top of that, even though it has nearly a full ink cartridge, every 2 seconds it flashes an extremely annoying error message that it has to print in backup mode because it's out of ink. 99% of the entire time that I've had this printer the blasted red error light is blinking. IF you can get it to print at all you're lucky. Usually I give up. Save your money and buy a different printer.
HP made a piece of JUNK!.......2007-05-11
I bought this printer in November of 2005. I haven't used it all that much and it's been treated with care and today for no reason whatsoever, I started eating the paper like a monster and making a horrible clicking noise. I actually looked on here to see if there was any hope of being able to repair it but I don't think I am in any luck after reading all the other reviews. I actually liked this printer but I don't anymore and I wouldn't recommend buying one. It's crap--if you're spending 100 bones--get your money's worth and buy the HP PSC 2210 all in one. You won't regret the extra cash.
Don't waste your money.......2007-03-24
At first I loved it. It has a nice sturdy, pleasing body. It "looks" like a nice printer. The prints were fantastic. But after only 2 1/2 months it has stopped printing altogether. After e-mailing back and forth with HP (the only support you get) for two days, they determined that it's an internal hardware problem. They will not replace it because they say it is out of warranty. They will give me a 'discount' on an upgrade model at a higher price of course. I actually only paid $40 for it a Wal-mart and even that was a waste of money. I can't even imagine wasting $100 for this printer! Wal-mart will not take it back because it's over 45 days old. Coincidentally, Wal-mart no longer has this printer in their store (at least not the one I go to). They were probably getting returned a lot. I can't believe that HP makes a printer that they don't support for longer than 2 1/2 months and that Wal-mart has a 45-day return policy on "computer accessories". Nobody wants to stand behind their products anymore. And worse, they get by with it.
