Thirty names and numbers may be stored and redialed at the touch of a single button, while a separate 30-station phonebook gives access to your most frequently dialed numbers.

Hang your phone up on the base (facing up or down) or the included charger--either one will charge your phone whenever you're not using it.

Three-way conference calls are available via a single button. When the battery starts running low, you'll know instantly, thanks to the indicator light on the LCD. Each handset is supplied with a digital duplex speakerphone, permitting hands-free calls with none of the annoying echoes of earlier speakerphone models.

The base incorporates a digital answering system with 15 minutes of message recording time. Simple controls allow you to listen, save, and delete messages easily. This my second Panasonic system and this one works as well as the first. Long range coverage to about 100 feet, clear transmissions, reliable, full featured. I have used this system on both a copper wireline (Verizon) and Internet connection (Vonage) and both are solid.

I bought the first Panasonic KX-TG2382B system about 2 years ago as a replacement for a Panasonic 900Mz. No complains. In June 2005 I lost one handset on our pasture and I could not find it anymore. So I bought a replacement handset and this one worked fine, too. All features. I thought about getting more handsets to have 4 phones available, so I bought a used system (base and handset) through an auction and spread the phones out in the house and feed-room. On these used handsets two keys don't work correctly, this comes with buying used stuff (my own fault), but for picking up calls they do fine. After seven months of Texas heat and even some rain I found the lost handset on the pasture again with minor scratches from our horses probably playing with it. I cleaned it from some dried up mud and charged it up again and the next day it worked again like it was brand new. Now I have 5 phones of this brand and system hooked to one phone line and I am very satisfied with it.

The Panasonic KX-TG2382B telephone system and KX-TGA230B companion are SO disappointing I wouldn't think of reselling them.

Pros: Price isn't bad. Extended warranty available but don't bother, you won't wish to keep it that long. Very good range; ours works from four houses away.
Cons: Batteries die all the time, even when the meter says two bars are left (we've read the manual and we do charge them correctly). When using the redial function this Panasonic dials the area code along with the seven digit number. You can imagine what happens when the number you're dialing is local.

Speakerphone function works only on simplex, rather than duplex. This is absolutely the worst thing about this telephone. You will want to use the speakerphone, but whoever you're talking to will NOT be able to hear you attempting to speak because the KX - TG2382B hasn't the capability to pick up your voice when a signal comes in from the other party. Very, very, irritating.

No Problems In 1.5 Years.......2005-12-21

Perhaps other readers got a bad batch, but I have not had any problems with this phone. I purchased mine over a year and a half ago, and am still using the original batteries that came with the phone. I am very careful to drain the batteries completely before placing the handsets on the chargers, and never leave them on longer than necessary. I've never had calls dropped, and all the buttons work fine. Speakerphone volume is great, features are good, sound quality is great. I have probably received the "Move closer to base" message 3 times, but only once since I moved into my house 3 months ago. Every time I just wiggle the antenna or unplug the power cord, and the message is gone when I plug it back it. The base is on the ground floor, and I can use the phone in the basement or second floor with no problem. I am satisfied, and looking now to add the third handset.

Better Value Than Many Other Cables.......2006-05-24

I have been involved in electronics for more than 25 years and have been building (and rebuilding) my home theater for most of my adult life.
It has been disconcerting at best to watch the price of interconnect cables and speaker cable go continously higher to the point of absolute farce.
With that said, different cables provide different results and some cables can actually degrade your signal.
My first component cable was made of a hodge podge of various cables ranging from some stuff I had laying around to some fairly esoteric pieces. Over several testing sessions and several A/B comparisons, an old, thick, shielded Radio Shack A/V cable yeilded the best results on my 65" Mitsubishi TV. The white/Red/yellow connectors didn't match up with the RGB inputs but it handled the 75-OHM current demand just fine. Over the years I have tried and upgraded many cables in my ever growing home theater system but I have had trouble finding anything that equaled the performance of my trusty old RS cable. The run, due to the size of the TV, is always at least 6' and the price of component cables at that length is rather high. Even RS has caught on and you can't get that old cable I have for less than $50 these days. I also don't think it's quite the caliber either. I was able to obtain an Audioquest cable that was designed and looked very nice for the job but it actually degraded the picture and I ended up giving it to a friend.
Obviously, if your screen is smaller than mine, you'll be able to get away with cables of lesser quality and your picture will probably be fine. When you start blowing the picture up beyond a certain point, it will reveal more and more faults that are hidden by a smaller screen.
I have the 8' version of the Monster THX 1000 cable and it does it's job. It is the equal of anything I have tried and it looks excellent and is well made. Amazon is charging an extremely competitive price and yes, it still is too much for a cable, but given the reality of the situation, this is about as good as it gets.

YES THESE CABLES ARE AMAZING ONLY IF YOU GET FULL POWER AT ALL TIMES TO YOUR DVD PLAYER AND TV.IF YOU HAVE ANY POWER SAGS IN YOUR HOME THE DVD IMAGE WILL APPEAR FLICKERING AND HAZY AND YOU LOSE ALOT OF DETAIL.BUT LIKE AT NIGHT WHEN I WOULD USE THEM AROUND 2 IN THE MORNING WHEN IM ABLE TO SUCK ALL THE POWER IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD THE IMAGE WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY.SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I SENT THEM BACK AND STUCK WITH MY MONSTER STANDARD CABLES WHICH LOOK GREAT ALL THE TIME.

i have to admit these cables give a very clear picture. they are however very pricey. less expensive cable may do the trick but i guess i paid for peice of mind knowing i have the best i can buy.
