NOT WALL MOUNTABLE.......2007-07-25
The phone is great. Many features and good sound and distance. However, I purchased this phone to mount on the wall - and since the description says wall mountable I thought it would not be a problem. Once I received the item - realized it was NOT wall mountable. Figures. Returned it - buying a V-Tech.
Phone looks better than it performs.......2007-05-21
Great looking phone. Sound is borderline, not bad, but not good either. Cordless range is great. Missing nice features like "Mute" button. Broke within two weeks. I sent it back and decided to break down and buy the Panasonic KX-TG6021M 5.8 GHz Cordless Telephone instead. Should have just bought this one to begin with, however, I really did not want another silver phone as I already have 3 of the silver Panasonic Cordless phones for my home line. I wanted something to distinguish to two lines.
The KX-TG602 has much better sound quality including the speaker phone, same range, and includes the missing "mute" button. The big difference is it a Panasonic. Panasonic phones just work! I have tried everything, Uniden, Vtech, GE and Panasonic, but I keep going back to Panasonic when it comes to wireless phones.
I know every company has it's lemons, I just seem to get them with every other brand except Panasonic.
Not Wall Mountable.......2007-04-21
I bought this phone specifically to mount on the kitchen wall.. This product is not wall mountable. The Silver version of it, however, is. Go figure.
Anyhow -- the phone is excellent. Good range, and great voice quality. Nice pleasant ring tones, Amber backscreen, long battery life.. And overall good feel.
The Uniden chipset provides a solid 5.8 phone, for a steal of a price here. I would recommend going with at least dual handsets for this price, and 3 if you need them.
Bottom line, if you don't care about wall mounting this version (the black) -- It is great.
Don't let the wording fool you guys like it did me. :)
Amazon, however, did handle this incorrect information very well on my end. Though , whoever is responsible for the information page, needs to remove the 'wall mountable' portion.

Electronically, a decent phone. But note there's no headset jack, unlike its white model in the same series. Weird.
Where is the belt clip?.......2007-07-25
I thought this was going to be a great phone and it may likely be, but I barely got it unwrapped before I wrapped it back up to send back to Amazon. I didn't realize that the phone didn't have a belt clip. These days almost everyone uses a headset, so not having a belt clip option is a big deal for me, enough to send the phone back. Too bad. Just thought I'd try and warn everyone else ahead of time.
