The GE 25831GE3 expandable telephone system is expandable to a total of four handsets; this package includes two. The combination of a 5.8 GHz frequency with Digital Spread Spectrum technology creates consistently clear conversation that constantly seeks out an interference-free signal while maintaining optimum security. The LCD screen of the handset provides access to a 50-entry phone book; with subscription to local Call Waiting Caller ID service, the screen will also display the name and number of the person calling. Through the display and dial feature, you can quickly return a call, or use the redial button to access one of the last five numbers you've called. You can transfer calls between handsets or use them as an in-home intercom system, while the handset speakerphone allows you to carry on a conversation while you're busy with other tasks. A digital answering system provides three separate mailboxes, along with options like skip, save, remote message retrieval; you can also record a memo for other family members. Every incoming message and memo receives a time/date stamp, providing a simple way to track calls. The system is wall mountable and includes a one-year warranty covering parts and service.

I must say I am pretty disappointed with this phone. I have the version that supports two handsets, neither of which is an answering device. I found that the battery life, by the time I owned the phone 8-10 months had dwindled to less than 30 minutes per call. I also wasn't a fan of the very flat contour to the phone. On the positive side, the quality of call and speakerphone were outstanding.

the telephone was clearly marketed with digital answering machine included which it did not haveupon delivery. My friend also ordered the identical item with the same issue. I used your descriptions of the individual items to determine which product would meet my needs and was extremely frustrated when the phone was not as described.

After two months of regular use, we like this telephone very much. Great range, clarity, ease of use, security, and a very reasonable price for this 5.8 GHz digital technology. Well engineered with many useful options. The only problem we have is one unit that occasionally rings steadily until answered. We haven't yet tried to resolve this issue.
If you don't need another answering machine, this is the telephone to seriously consider. It's not much to look at, but doesn't claim to be a decorator piece. Performance is what counts. Highly recommended.

This pair of cordless headsets has been working perfectly. I bought them because my 2.4 Ghz sets were getting interference from my wireless computer network.
The only thing I'm not wild about is the physical design of the headsets. They look and feel rather "clunky," and do not fit comfortably in my hand.
