I read tons of reviews on other competitive products before finally deciding on this one. The "Tango" is not perfect but for sure is the "best buy". Some of the rocks sounded really rocky (not impressed) but otherwise it's a pretty decent system with solid bass response. I tried setting the bass to the lowest level and that helped reduce the vibrations to some extent but not completely. Remember, the vibrations I noticed was for few songs only but 95% of the songs or even more I played sounded great. If you compare with Bose, Apple and other pricey items, the "Tango" is way above the competition for the price-to-features bang that you get for your bucks. You will enjoy the videos on a big screen through the s-video out which no one else offers. Trust me it will be a happy outing with your "Tango".

Great system for the price, but not acoustically perfect........2007-11-07
The Tango system does indeed deliver the bass it promises. It has a deep sound that you can definitely feel in the floor. The unit is well built, the remote has great quality, and the the ability to adjust the bass and treble from the remote is a welcome feature.
However, I am a little disappointed in the sound quality. It's not bad by any means, but it's not perfect. For starters, there's an audible hiss when songs are playing. Not a big deal when the volume is at a normal tone and you're doing other stuff in the room, but during a quiet track or when you're listening closely it's very much there. The bass is nice and deep, but not very crisp. It's a little muffled and, frankly, a little too strong on the normal setting, becoming distorted if you're listening to a track with deep bass. (FYI, I listen to a lot of downtempo electronica and intelligent dance music.)
And that brings us back to the treble and bass controls on the remote--they are essential. I find myself adjusting them quite a bit to compensate for differences from track to track. I usually turn the bass down one and the treble up two and it sounds OK.
So the bottom line is this: if you're an audio perfectionist this system will drive you nuts. But for me, after a week I'm used to the unit's quirks and they don't bug me. After all, I'm not that nit-picky of a listener and this is not my main music player. For $100 I'm very pleased with the sound and functionality. It's a good buy for the office, bedroom, or a secondary music player.

Good sound, though not as loud as I expected, party-wise. It is a good piece for the price, easy to operate, and much cheaper than at other retailers.

I was looking for an iPod audio system that had a lot of bass but also good quality and this is it. I only have 2 complaints. When it's turned down to a low volume setting and you're standing close enough to the system, you hear a slight hum. Nothing big and you most likely won't be listening to it that low. Second complaint is that the system only works while it's plugged in so you can't really take is anywhere.
The remote is great also. It has treble and bass controls and a button so you can return to all your original settings. I didn't think I would use that button as much as I do.
Overall, I'm glad I chose this one over it's competitors. I just wish it came in black.
