Worked for two days.......2007-11-30
I unpacked my Tunestage II and had it installed and working in less than 10 minutes.
During the first 2 days, the thing worked beautifully. Sound quality is amazing (I even compared connecting the ipod directly and through the transmitter and there is very little - almost imperceptible - difference). However, that was the only time it really worked.
Now every time I turn on the transmitter, it quickly pairs with the receiver, and they work for a 5 -15 minute interval. Then the signal is completely lost, with lots of hiss, static, digitally polluted music. The devices keep trying to pair up again, but they simply give up after a while. Turning the system off and back on does nothing to help.
I am now trying to figure out how to send it back to Belkin, as I live in Brazil and brought the unit with me on a recent trip.
Unless they have a decent replacement, I would not recommend buying this product, even though there are all those great reviews out there.

But the onkyo ipod dock was better. I did not want to keep touching my IPOD. The Onkyo dock allows me to play the ipod using the remote.
Tunestage 2 almost perfect.......2007-09-15
I found the Tunestage II very easy to install and it works fine. Bluetooth works at 2.4GHz frequency so if you have other devices (some cordless phones) it is possible for there to be interference, but in my case I have a newer cordless phone, it works on the 5.8GHz range, so I had no problems.
I plugged the Tunestage receiver into my stereo system and the small transmitter into my iPod. That was it. They supply the cables in the box, so there is nothing else to buy. It took under 2 second for the pairing (all bluetooth devices must pair before use).
The sound quality was very good. Absolutely no static or other obvious distortions. I don't think you will be disappointed in the quality. I would say very near or equal to good CD quality sound.
Why almost perfect. I found I had to turn the volume of my stereo up past halfway before I got good volume out of the Tunestage, not really a problem unless you were to switch from iPod to some other source without reducing the volume first. I have a 250 watt Bryston amp and Bryston pre-amp. The only other complaint is the battery life. You can get a little over 2 hours with an iPod video 60GB. This is explained in the specifications, so there not trying to hide the fact, it simply would be nice to get 3 or 4 hours on a single charge. Milage will vary with your model of iPod.

Unfortunately, this cool idea is lost in the execution. It works for about 15 seconds and then the signal is lost. I reset it numerous times, I unplugged my phones, my wireless router and my microwave (as suggested) nothing worked. I'm taking it back after less than two hours.

This is a great radio and could one day save your life! It's a wonderful piece of mind knowing if a tornado is in your area (even at night) that it will notify you and wake you up when the alarm goes off. I live in a rural area and can not hear the sirens in the nearest community. This model has the filter which allows you to only receive warnings in the county you live in (or select, and you can choose multiples!) I've had this radio for about two years and it has all the features you need including battery backup. NO problems with the A/C adapter as other people have mentioned. It will last if you take proper care of it. I would suggest your bedroom so it will wake you up at night and out of reach of young children. Great product!
