Superior quality, gripable silicone case for your iPhone. |
More Than Just Another Pretty Case
The DLO Jam Jacket with cord management is a superior, no-slip silicone case that adds a strong, gripable layer of protection to your iPhone. This high-quality, lint-free silicone features an integrated cord management for your headset, and adds a layer of color and personality to your iPhone. Perhaps most importantly, unlike other cases out there, it features the essential opening for the proximity sensor, so your iPhone will work as it was meant to without having to remove it from the Jam Jacket.
It's a Wrap!
Tired of dealing with tangled cords and dangling earbuds? The integrated Headphone Management System on the back of the Jam Jacket allows you to neatly wrap your headset cord behind your iPhone, and safely stow your iPhone earbuds while not in use. When it's time to talk, unwind only as much as you need--the handy side-notches will hold the cord in place, keeping the excess cable wrapped and out of your way.
Protection + Accessability
Jam Jacket protects your iPhone's body while providing an opening for the iPhone's proximity sensor--meaning the Jam Jacket won't interfere with your iPhone's proper functionality like other cases that obscure the sensor. Of course, the Jam Jacket also has openings for to the volume control, camera lens and headset jack for total iPhone useability while its still protected in the Jam Jacket. And last but not least, you have full access to the iPhone dock connector, so you can use your favorite charger or auto accessory while keeping your iPhone protected.
Go ahead, slip the Jam Jacket onto your iPhone for superior protection and headset management in one unique case.

So far so good.......2007-12-19
Just got the DLO case for my ipod touch and so far its awesome. I like a minimal case, one that doesn't get in the way too much and lets me quickly access the ipod. This one is perfect for that. It fits very snug and most people I hand it too don't even know its in a case. Very good if you are handing your new ipod to friends, coworkers, kids - who all might accidently let it slip and drop. The cord mgmt works well, it seems to work best with Apple's white earbuds but not my sony ones that are a bit bigger - still very nice to hang the headphone attached to the case.
It comes with a single static film screen protector that works very well, but i got it dusty putting it on so I need to order more - that was my fault. I had never used a screen protector like that before.
I wouldn't recommend this case.......2007-12-01
Bought 2 weeks ago and used it for about 3 days.
The silence switch is unreachable unless you pull the sleeve off. Doesn't look very elegant and is def. not
The other huge issue is that the sleeve didn't fit properly. the sides kept pulling to the back leaving a gap and letting corners of the protective screen show. The protective screen kept coming off of the phone.
Now this could be due to poor installation from my part, how would I know, it didn't come with and instructions.
Also the Sound quality is poor after applying this sleeve. I could not hear friends speak on the other line although they said they heard me fine.
Wouldn't buy it again. I'll probably sell it on Ebay!
Flimsy, sticky rubber won't protect.......2007-11-26
This jacket will protect the back of your phone from scratches, nothing more.
These are flimsy, very thin, silicone protectors. Sure, the corners are a little thicker, but you'd be foolish to think that this product is offering your iPhone any more protection than the aluminum case already provides. The sides of this protector are thin enough that they will sag away from your phone - not attractive.
My biggest complaint is that the rubber is quite sticky, and already very thin, so you'd be lucky to pull your phone out of your pocket with the protector still on the phone (this was my experience). If you get a light colored one, be prepared for dirt and lint accumulation. The product material is a lint magnet.
You should probably ask yourself, am I trying to protect the back of the phone from scratches, or am I more concerned with the screen (the usable part of the phone)?
I promptly returned both of these protectors that I purchased for two iPhones.
How durable is the iPhone without a protector?

Gets the job done, with a few annoyances.......2007-11-20
Just got the jacket. The phone fits snugly into it, and it appears that it will protect the phone (except the screen of course) from cosmetic damage from dropping, putting in your pocket w/ keys, etc. I ordered screen protectors in addition to this jacket.
A few gripes, as other reviewers have mentioned: phone won't fit in the cradle with the jacket on. Also, power/sleep button and volume appear as if they might be a tad harder to work with the sleeve on, but they do work.
Overall I'd recommend getting it, as you need to protect your hardware and right now there are not a lot of options. Griffin has a sweet leather flip-up case for the iPod touch...I wish they would put one of those babies out for the iPhone.
Whether you like it or not depends on your own personal preference.......2007-11-06
The cable management idea is great, but it's not practical to stick it on the back of the phone.
The texture of the case is great because sometimes the iPhone slips from my hand while using it, so the rubberized feel keeps me from dropping it. I actually didn't know the Jam Jacket was designed to store ear buds when I bought it in the store, but I never use it anyway. I usually play with the big flexible headphone storage piece while talking on the phone or browsing the web. It's also useful because I can put it on virtually any surface and the phone won't move because the headphone square keeps it gripped in place. I find that it's more comfortable with the cover on than off, but it is all based on how you like your iPhone to feel. I think it looks good on the iPhone, too. I never usually get lint on it but when I do it easily rinses off, just don't use a towel to dry it or the lint comes right back.
Buy this cover for the grip, not for the storage factor.

Dropped a milion times. Still working without a glitch.
easy to setup and compatible.
The RM-V402 won't do HDTV tuners.......2006-01-28
I bought the RM-V402 on the chance that it might just work and save me from shelling out the funds to buy a fully programmable remote.
All of my Home Theatre components were programmed using the codes supplied except for my Samsung HDTV tuner... which is the heart of my system (I get 30 or so great off the air HDTV sub channels for no monthly fee... perfect for me since I don't need hundreds of channels)
I called Sony's help line and spoke to several robot-like persons who tried to help me but didn't understand the concept of "off the air" HDTV... they kept trying to convince me that I had either a cable or SAT box. In any event, after several attempts of searching for a code, they eventually concluded that for my system, I would have to get a teaching remote which can learn the HDTV Tuner functionality from my other remotes. I will try this next, but may be putting off the inevitable fully programmable unit.
Also, please note... Don't throw away your old remotes. The RM-V402 will only control the main functions...
Painful to set up, doesn't work with everything.......2006-01-20
I bought this at Circuit City, because as with other reviewers, I had my doubts about universal remotes.
First off, its a pain to work. If you mess up while trying to set a code,
1) there's alot of buttons to press,
2) if you mess up you have to try to exit its 'setup mode' which involves punching lots of buttons or taking out the batteries,
3) if you mess up and do not realize that you did, you're messed up for anything you try to do afterwards,
4) when you finally do get something right you cry in relief and dread setting up the next button.
Secondly, after a few HOURS, and I would rate myself as above average on technical things, I finally got it to work with my Samsung TV, Panasonic DVD Recorder (although there's no record on the remote), and Toshiba VCR.
Thirdly, it would not work w/ my Kenwood Receiver or CD player. I expected as much for my receiver as its quite old, but my CD player should have worked! I tried every code in the book that had Kenwood next to it, regardless of component, and no go. I severely doubt this remote even works with any Kenwood component.
On the back of the box, it says it will work with Kenwood (hence me buying it), but its a lie.
Return line, here I come!
1 stars for the lying that it worked with Kenwood stuff.
0 stars for ease of use (none)
2 stars since it actually did work with some stuff...
Great URC.......2005-11-17
This thing works great. It's missing a few key things, however, like the ability to change channels and swap with PIP, but that's really just candles on a well-iced cake.
Surely you jest.......2005-11-15
I bought the RM-V402 from Best Buy so that I could quickly return it if the unfavorable reviews I read here turned out to be true. Were they ever! I am quite dubious that this universal remote controls anything other than Sony equipment, like my Sony Trinitron TV, for example. Here all the usual keys work properly but there are some glaring oversights. While there is a dedicated PIP key, there is no way to change the channel in the PIP window, no way to swap PIP sources, nor a way to access the MRU channel list.
If you are still considering buying this piece of vapid plastic, I encourage you to download and read the PDF of the user manual. Pay CLOSE attention to the sections labeled "Changing the Component Type" and "Searching for the Correct Code". These sections should actually be titled respectively "How to play Twister with your fingers while testing your short-term memory" and "A long and futile exercise without any feedback whatsoever". I thought it would be easy to program the code for my Toshiba DVD player purchased within the past year. Again, I was wrong. The codes didn't work, nor did incrementing through all the possible codes. Neither did the codes for my Kenwood receiver. Worst of all is that there isn't any feedback to tell you if you are even in the right mode. There isn't a single LED on this remote, and that would have gone a LONG way to giving the user the necessary feedback to know if they are in the correct mode or if their keypresses are even registering.
Avoid this abysmal device at any cost. I wish I had, so back to Best Buy it goes.
