Horrible to start, but well worth it!.......2007-12-25
Could not get my iPod to recognize it. Spent hours and hours trying to rest my iPod, reset the Tune Stick, then reset it all again. The DLO instructions are very weak. The DLO customer service is a joke... couldn't get a hold of anyone there. Got so frustrated almost returned the stupid thing.... but then, just before I was about to give up, I gave it one last try and.... IT WORKED!!!! And I've been a happy camper since! The steering wheel remote holder is genius! I really like this product because it has the pin out for the car power charger on the bottom, so I just plug in my charger to the outlet and it recharges my iPod, while maintaining power to the Tune Stick (not necessary, but convenient because the set up eats battery life) at the same time while I'm wheeling down the road groovin to my tunes! Final comment: It is definately worth the money... and the initial frustration. Have patience and you'll be very please!!

I got the Tune Stick over other FM transmitters for the iPod as it is the only one that I could find with a pass through port. This allows for charging the iPod while it is being used - definitely a cool thing to have. It has definitely changed (for the better) my office environment and my commute. The remote and the cradle for the steering wheel are all good as others have probably said, however, we ALL know that the iPod battery lasts NOT nearly as long as advertising would have us believe. So, the pass through connection for the docking port is a must for a day in the office or the long weekend or vacation drive up the coast. The transmission quality has been great although in the big cities (I like to avoid them anyway), it can take a little time to find a clear channel.
Clever product, with flaws.......2007-09-29
This unit is cleverly designed, and functions adequately...some of the time. Interference from power lines and radio signal relays regularly disrupt "broadcasts" from one's iPod to the FM station selected. As one travels, other stations can routinely be heard, replacing the programming on one's iPod. It's pretty annoying, and frequently renders the listening experience genuinely unpleasant.

Be careful about battery.......2007-07-03
After putting lots of efforts to program it, it worked fine though still not perfectly. At least partially work with all my devices. Until one day, I notice the LCD is not as stable as it was. It dimmed after I push any button. I immediately realized the battery is out of juice. I put a fresh pair there, and then I found all the programming was lost. I need to reprogram it. I still remember all those programming pain and I gave up. I just fall back to use my 4 to 5 remotes.
Ultimate remote.......2007-07-03
This is the only remote I have ever found that can control every AV componet I have. Every key is programmable, and it even can control my remote fan and blinds.
The only downside is the small screen is a little hard to se with old eyes, and the programming can be tedious, but since its non-volitale, once you get it programmed, it will never change.
Doesn't work with Dish Network Receiver.......2007-05-12
I cannot find any code for Dish Network satellite receivers in the manual. Contacting Sony support offered no help at all.

I disagree with the other review-I have had this remote for 3 years and it is the best I've ever had. I agree that the manual is hard to use, but once you figure it out it is easy. Figure to set aside an hour to fully program this thing. The best features are:
1. it is a real 'learning' remote, learns anything with any button.
2. It does 'scripts' - push one button and you can program many many operations, like turn on multiple devices and change all the settings to watch a DVD and open the dvd drawer, stuff like that. Can program up to 8 different multi-op scripts.
3. It is all but indestructible. I swear, last night I was watching a Vietnam doumentary and I threw the f***ing remote at the wall with all my strength. It broke into several pieces. My wife put it all in the trash and went to bed. I got up this morning and dug it out, so ashamed. I taped it back together, put the batteries back in, and IT WORKS perfectly. Didn't even lose the device settings or script programming!
I'm here to see if I should buy another, but this thing may last forever. Get one for as little as nine teen (refurb) and live large :-)
Flawed from the factory - the absoute worst!.......2005-08-07
I bought it, put in the batteries, and immediately needed a magnifying glass to read the worst LCD display I have ever seen (actually, could not see) in my life. After squinting and fumbling through some programming features, I started to feel that I was doing something wrong. I realized that I could select all devices to program EXCEPT THE TV! You simply cannot program the TV! You can program a digital cable box, a vcr, ... etc. But the device acts like it will let you select the TV BUT IT DOES NOT! Sony cost me hours of shopping and a couple of frustrating hours to find that they shipped a broken product. This will make me think twice about other Sony products' quality in the future.
