Probably Not The Best.......2007-11-25
I had a full silicon sleeve for my 1st gen nano that was great. This hard case scratches fairly easily, but hey, that's one of the main reasons for purchase (rather scratch the case than the nano). Case doesn't feel as though it closes very securely. Serves its purpose.
Fantastic case - best of the four I tried.......2007-08-21
I tried out four cases (using each for two weeks) before deciding on this one. Speck clearly put in as much thoughfulness on the design as Apple puts into its own products.
First, it is beveled around the click wheel. If you're just investigating cases, you have no idea how important this is. It means that, if you intend to press the Play button, you actually can. On cases without beveling, the plastic forces your finger to hit the center button instead.
Second, you can actually use the Hold button! I don't know why other manufacturers essentially block access to this buttom, but Speck makes it easy to use.
Third, the thin rubber strips on the side of the case make it easy to hold. Again, you don't realize how important this is until you hold a different case and feel how easily it can slip.
Lastly, it's easy to open and close (and the two halves of the case stay connected). I transfer my Nano to a different case when I go to the gym - and use a third-party FM transmitter in the car - so I need to regularly remove it from the case. It's very easy to get in and out.
Speck's done a superb job with this case - I highly recommend it!
Tight Fit but Weak Clip.......2007-02-13
I bought this item for my 2nd gen. black Nano. The casing is well made, clear, and fits very well. It is a comfortable tight fit that holds the Nano securely. However, the belt clip component itself is poorly designed and lacks enough force to hold on to a belt or pants. The clip also lacks internal teeth needed for a tighter grip.
Consider buying this item if you want the clear casing to protect your Nano from scratches. Otherwise, if you use the clip, the whole thing is going to fall out and possibly damage both the casing and your Nano.

Awesome features, poor reliability.......2007-10-30
This is my second RCA clock radio/CD. The first one did not have a digital tuner, and it was very hard to see where you where on the dial since it was on the side and not easy to see. However, I did love its other features. When I saw this model, I was excited as it has all the prior features WITH a digital radio tuner, plus a few additional features. As with the prior model, I love that you can set the exact minutes you want for the snooze. It also has a nap feature that starts at 20 minutes and goes up in 10 minute increments for excellent flexibility. This allows you to literally take a nap for however many minutes you want, get woken up by the alarm, but not have to touch your regular alarm settings. The sound is excellent for a clock radio, and the reception is fair. I haven't found a clock radio that has reception as good as my 10 plus year old GE clock radio with cassette player. (It still works, but I wanted the CD.) I have checked reception on several different brands, and this unit's reception is no worse and no better than other units that cost more. The different color choices for the display are nice. You can set the time automatically, or you can set it yourself if you like the 5 minutes ahead on your clocks. The snooze button isn't in the usual place on top of the unit, but once you get used to its location, it isn't hard to press when half asleep. However, the CD player isn't reliable. It is likely a design flaw as the front load CD hydraulic mechanism is built into the clock display. There is too much that has to move to load and unload a CD. My first unit of this model developed CD failure. It was skipping, and cleaning the eye and the CD did not help. I liked it so much that I got a new one. I have only had it a few months, and the CD door suddenly won't close all the way. I am now unable to play either a CD or the radio. Some people find the instructions difficult, but I love the features, and didn't have difficulty using the unit. Except for the new features and different button location, the format is very similar to the previous unit. I love the features and the sound quality on the unit, but unless I have had bad luck, stay away from it unless you want to pay roughly $60 for a product that may only last a few months. My first RCA CD clock radio with a regular CD non-hydraulic door on top is still working fine, and I may return to that even though I won't have a digital tuner.
wonderful bedroom accessory.......2007-10-25
At night when we go to bed we have a rainforest cd we listen to and we just have to hit the sleep button and turn out the light. In the morning we can choose to wake up to an alarm sound or music on our favorite station or even the morning news on our local tv channel. We also love being able to choose the color of the time display so that is goes with our bedroom decor.
Fantastic alarm clock.......2007-09-19
Picked up this on sale at Target, for 29.99 awesome sound and features for the money.
Display Stopped Working.......2007-07-27
After less than one year of use, the display for the clock stopped working. When I called RCA to complain and get a replacement, they told me they had no record of my warrantee submission, and that they would do nothing for me without a receipt. Either keep your receipt or look for another product.
2nd one.......2007-07-10
I bought this for my daughter before she was born to play a white noise CD on repeat (all you parents out there know). I had a heck of a time finding a unit that will play one track on repeat all night. I did have a problem with the CD door shortly after I purchased it. However i called RCA and sent it back and they replaced the unit.
I have just purchsed a second one for my newest addition despite the problem I had with the door. RCA made good on the product and that is big to me. And again I have looked around for a unit to repeat a CD all night and have come up empty handed.
