Sidewinder Spectra Flawed.......2007-05-12
I was very excited about the Sidewinder concept for my new Nano. I have always had difficulty with long earphone cords while exercising. I thought this would be a great solution to my problem. Along with the Sidewinder, I also purchased the Marware Mobility kit so I could attach the iPod to the dash of my car and the handlebars of my bike. When setting this all up I discovered two immediate flaws in the design. The retainer for keeping the Nano in the Sidewinder is on the bottom. It is just a small piece of plastic that slips into the case and is held in place basically by friction. The retainer has an earphone hole, but no provision for attaching the docking cable. This raised two issues, 1) I was unable to clip the sidewinder into the mobility holder in the car and attached it to my dock power/cassette adapter without the Nano falling out. I solved this problem by using a Dremel tool to port the retainer to accept the dock cable then Super Glued the retainer in place. Problem 2 was that I didn't trust this setup for attaching to the Marware bike holder on my handlebars. I immediately had visions of the glue failing, the clip backing out and my Nano ending up on the highway.
If you just want use this for managing the earphone cable for on-body use, this is a very clever and well made solution. In my case it didn't work for attaching to Mobility Kit for the dash or the bike. I would suggest placing a small piece of thin ethafoam inside the top the Sidewinder to keep the Nano from rattling around.
Non-standard earbud/headphone plug does not fit.......2007-04-09
I ordered this case because of the clever concept -- it seems like a great idea to keep you earbud cable in order via the iPod case itself.
However, when receiving the actual product I saw encountered flaws and drawbacks. First, the case was light plastic and felt pretty cheap. I currently use an iSkin case (iSkin Nano 2nd Generation - Groove Pack). It is composed of harder plastic and rubber, which feels more substantial (and perhaps more able to withstand a drop) than the Sidewinder. Furthermore, the plastic on the face of the Sidewinder was lightly scratched, apparently just from rubbing against the inside of its packaging.
I saw the above as just minor drawbacks. The big problem for me: there is a piece of plastic which covers the bottom of the Nano, where the headphone/earbud jack is located. There is a hole in this plastic to allow you to plug the earbuds into the iPod. Standard iPod earbuds fit fine. However, I do not use the standard iPod earbuds. I tried plugging in both Koss earbuds (Koss SPARKPLUG - Stereo In Ear Ear Plugs) and Shure E2c earphones (Shure E2c-n Sound Isolating Earphones (Black)). Neither fit because their jacks do not have the same shape as the standard iPod earbud jack.
I consider this a major problem. Because of this, I sent the product back for a refund.

60" Plasma HDTV Great.......2007-09-22
The 60" Plasma HDTV has outstanding picture quality and sound and the price was awesome! We got free shipping and it arrived within a week of ordering it! The company had great follow-up e-mails so we always knew where it was in transit. We still have not been able to mount it on the wall, because the wall mount that came up to order with it, does not work for a 60", even though it said it would. I would definatley recommend this TV!

The Plasma experience:
There was a lot of research involved before making up my mind. After all the time invested, I decided to buy the Pioneer Plasma. Part of my research included the advice of a reputable repair shop owner. I had taken in the burnt TV that the Plasma replaced for repairs. The advice was "If you can afford the extra cost, buy Pioneer". It was the best decision thus far. This plasma as advertised has incredible colors and contrast. At the moment my regular cable signal is not the best out there, and still looks amazingly sharp. Playing regular CD quality just blows me away. I can wait to get HD Sat, I am sure I will have even better things to say then. Right now, everyone in the family is in love with the Plasma. Size was also the right choice; if you have the room, go for 60". It has already started to look small; I guess you get used to the size. Anyhow, the best decision I made and am very pleased with the performance so far.
The Amazon experience:
I have to give them 5 stars on this one. The price I bought this TV for could not be matched locally as much as I tried. The free supersaver delivery was fantastic. In fact (I am sure not many people do this) I had to call Amazon to have them slow down the estimated delivery. I wanted to take advantage of the price drop, so I ordered just before going on vacation. Based on the delivery date there was no problem. The very next day I received the confirmation delivery e-mail for less than a week to delivery. Fortunately, I called and was helped right away. Amazon contacted the delivery company and confirmed they would hold the TV until my return. The delivery called me the very next day after I came back from vacation and delivered the following day. The plasma was delivered, taken inside and set up. I am very pleased with the performance of Amazon. Subsequent purchases have also been delivered super fast. This is rare, especially if free delivery is involved. Hope my input will make your decision making process easier.

I am not a technician of any sort, but have a little inkling of some of the terms though. After reading quite a bit on this TV, this is the one I settled on, and to date I don't have any complaints whatsoever.
Straight out of the carton it has worked perfectly. I haven't as yet been able to transmit a 1080P signal to it, but soon will. I do have 1080i signals going to it though and they have all been crystal clear.
For the price I paid for this one compared to ones a whole lot more in local stores and some places on the net as well, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Best Plasma EVER????.......2007-12-21
I looked for a 57" or larger flat screen for over a year. All makes, brands etc. The only TV I have found to dat that outperforms the 6070, is Pioneers new 6010 and not by much. You have to really look for the difference. And if your doing that, your not enjoying the movie, program... And at $7000.00, the 6010 was just a little to pricy.
The pdp6070 is the best television I have ever seen at under $7500.00
