Don't do it.......2007-12-18
From a previous review I saw where the person was keeping it in their pocket. I guess that would be OK, but I want to keep it on my belt using the belt clip.
First off, the belt clip doesn't fit my belt. It's too small. It will just more or less hang on my belt, but it won't completely attach. Within the first two days of having this, my iPhone fell off my side three times. I thought maybe it was just my belt, but I compared my belt to three other guys in my office. It fit on exactly zero of their belts.
So I tried hanging it off of my belt loop on my pants. The belt clip has a little hook on the end that makes it miserable to try to take it off when you want to use the phone. I actually missed three calls over the next two days doing this. Oh, and it still fell off twice.
The last thing is that when it hits the ground the case flies open and the iPhone comes spilling out. Thank God I had a protective plastic cover over the face or I'd have one serious scratch on my iPhone.
All together, this thing completely stinks. The belt clip doesn't seem to fit any belt because it's too small, and when the case lands on the ground it just falls apart and sends you iPhone out, flying through the air, unprotected.
Do something better with your money, like buy a lot of bubble gum or something. This thing is a piece to say the least.

I have used Griffin Tech before for products. This is the best "Clear Sheild" product that I could fine. Since I wanted something thin so the phone could stay in my pocket, but still be projected, this is great... Just never realized the amount of lint and hair then ends up in my pockets. I do have to open it up and clean it at least once a week... It does keep the phone scure, and is very hard to come apart. Which is a good thing. Hope this helps.

I never write reviews, and haven't even used this product yet - as I just purchased it... But I felt I had to respond to the reviews I read. You guys are right - this is an ADAPTER, not meant to serve as a cable, thus the length... BUT - what you've wrote is misleading in that you do need a DVI cable - NOT an HDMI cable as the HDMI portion is "male" - one end fits right into your HDMI devise, it's the DVI cable you must have to use this, and that's why I'm buying it... I have a DVI cable and my TV is DVI, but my cable box has HDMI ... It clearly states in the product description:
"Converts DVI from your source to HDMI display Converts HDMI from your source to DVI display Requires existing DVI cable"
So I'm not sure what all the confusion is about...

For everyone complaining about the length of the cable, this is NOT meant to hook up a DVI to an HDMI device or an HDMI device to a DVI device. It is meant to be an adapter for the DVI/HDMI cable you are using on your source/output device, it simply connects the two cables because they have different interfaces. Get this product if that will be your use for it, else ONLY get it if your length of cable will only be like 6". It states adapter in the title, that is what it is, it is just a very nice adapter because it provides you with a few inches of cable as well instead of just in/out connection.

For gawd sakes people this is an adapter for the full HDMI(male) or DVI(male) cables not the actual cable itself! This is for Cathy and Brandeis for their neg remarks.
I didn't purchase this item but just had to add my 2 cents after reading the half-baked reviews. Again, to clarify you buy this adapter if you already have a hdmi cable or dvi cable and your TV is hdmi and your set top box is DVI (or your computer).
Well made but too short, wrong end.......2005-01-20
The length is only one foot not mentioned in the product discription plus the cable box end is female rather than male and will not plug into your cable box as led to believe. I have to return the item as unuseable.
